Quite honestly, the thought of asking people for online votes for another contest gives me the hee-bee-gee-bee’s but I guess this is all part of the job description of "starving artist"

I’d like to take a second to say thanks to those of you buying my t-shirts and other stuff Especially those of you with 4 legs. As it turns out, I’m really a huge star in the Italian Greyhound community. They line up for hours and hours just to see my concerts and ask for autographs. Their computer skills are a little lacking though, but I’m told they do read my blog. Maybe some of you could vote for them on that contest. They have a hard time typing and text messaging.

Last night’s show was a blast! Here’s a link to a bunch of really cool Live Shots. But in case you don’t feel like skimming through all the shots, here’s a fun one of Hal Sparks, Me and Jesus (my violin player)

Hal was very cool and down to Earth…and funny on stage when he was introducing the bands.

The show went great! I was a little nervous since our sound check was cut short but the sound was dialed in just fine by time we were making noise. I got to hear Great White’s sound check…it’s great to hear those guys nail those vocal harmonies.

The place was packed and I think they raised quite a bit of money for the Seals. Upstairs, they were having a silent auction. One of the items for sale? Slash’s (from Guns and Roses) leather pants. I was talking to Hal about what human could fit into those pants…man, his waist must have been like a 28…we were all puzzled. It was pretty neat stuff though.

During our set, Chyna (the Wrestler) came up to the front of the stage and kept asking me if she could come up and sing with me. You do NOT say "no" to a wrestler otherwise you get pile-driven into the ground There’s some other naughty stuff that was happening[even some nudity] but I can’t speak such things…remember, I was there to save the seals

I have some video from the show. The video looks good and I think our playing is good but the recording sounds like it was done with a video camera(which it was)…I’m not sure how much use I can get out of it. I guess I’m just spoiled by having video with a good audio mix.

Ya know, I would have NEVER thought as a kid growing up in Michigan that one day down the road that I would be opening up for and sharing the same stage with the band Great White and Jani Lane (the singer from Warrant). How trippy is that! AND It’s happening tonight at the Key Club in W. Hollywood. I’m really trippin’ on this

I mean, I always knew that I’d be doing music one way or another but sometimes I still get a little freaked out at some of this stuff. I often think back after it’s over to the thought of "Oh wow, I just worked with so and so"…

I’ve been telling my friends back home about this show and EVERYONE’S 1st response is "How the hell did that happen?" Um… I’m The King of Surreal… I guess they haven’t figured this out yet I just know that the more this question gets asked, it just means that stuff is happening….which is GOOD.

Oh…also tonight…the show is supposed to be hosted by Hal Sparks (whose Flash Site makes mine look like it was made by a 5 year old).

But most importantly about tonight’s show is the cause for the benefit. I think the next benefit I do is going to be for a particular starving singer/songwriter/blogger though

Well, I found out a little more about the Key Club show this Saturday. As I thought, I’m 1st up to bat which is nice cause it lets me do my thing and then hang out the rest of the night and enjoy the show. I’m told the our 1st musical note should be made at around 8:30pm but the night starts at 7:30pm. So for those coming, show up early. From what I understand…the pre-sell tickets are doing very well. COOL!

Speaking of music… some time ago, someone alerted me that my CD on Amazon.com is going for $40.00??? How very strange. I hope that anyone looking to buy the CD would go through CDBaby.com or iTunes to order. I think what happened was…someone got word that the CD was Out of Print and decided to crank up the price.

Today is the 1st day I’ve had to myself in a while(or at least it feels that way)… I’m planning on doing NOTHING. It’s good to be busy, but this last weekend I had so much piled up. It’s easier when you’re busy doing things you enjoy but these last few days were a bit too much. Today, I’m VERY glad to be sitting here just looking at the wall in Zombie-Mode. [BRAINS!]

On top of everything else going on …the last 3 nights I’ve been doing Hockey Stuff. Saturday night my team had an annual fundraiser Skate Night open to the public so I was helping out with that. Sunday and Monday night, we had games on both nights…No fights for me, but I’m sore today. I’m Hockey’ed Out at the moment. I really think I just need today to recharge and I’ll be back to my normal self.

Tomorrow night I’m supposed to be doing band rehearsal and getting things all ready for the show on Saturday. After this show, I’m going to get some new material recorded and get ready for the next step in taking over the world. Right now, our rehearsals are more of "refreshers" for the 1st part of the night and the last half is spent trying out new material. I always want to hurry through the set to get to the new stuff

My drummer (Chuck) also plays drums for Corey Feldman’s band and was up in Canada last week…I wanna get all the dirt on his trip. Actually…now that I think of it…my band is all somehow infested with Reality TV in one way or another. Chuck who also plays with Corey who was on The Surreal Life..and Randy(bass player) also plays with Andre from season 1 of MTV’s Real World. And of course, we were all on NBC’s Online Reality Show "StarTomorrow" … hmm. Weird.

I’m just so happy to be doing nothing today…I should get back to doing that

I went to the Yamaha Concert last night in at Disney’s California Adventure Theater. Tickets were Open Seating so we were hidden in the back since we hit a little traffic on the way there. The show was fun though and of course, the sound was even better.

The concert was for Yamaha People and those affiliated with ‘em. And since the NAMM show is going on this weekend, it was a big event.

The lights went down and the curtain came up and this huge bad-ass orchestra fueled the show and backed up such artists like:

• Earth Wind & Fire
• Dr. John
• Richard Marx
• Dennis Deyoung (who KILLED [Killed:in a good way] "Come Sail Away"!)
• Heather Headley
• Teddy Geiger
• Tommy Sims

The event was hosted by Wayne Brady.

Ah, what I wouldn’t give to be backed by such an orchestra like that!

UPDATE at Thursday 9:31PM: WOW you guys!! thanks SO MUCH for the t-shirt orders!!! I’m shocked and happy to have ‘em!!!

I’ve been toying with new T-shirt ideas. I’ve been told that my old T-shirts that just say "BOB" on them need a little more than just that for promotion LOL

Anyway..I’m testing this one out. You can order the Men’s and Women’s version of it here if you like. I’ll add more stuff to the shop later. Of course, there’s also the old shop if anyone should want to show support. The shirts come in all sorts of colors if you feel like just plugging the logo. I don’t make a billion off this stuff, but it does help promote.

Also, I’m open for T-shirt ideas, if anyone has any…Feel free to email me if you have a cool idea for a T-shirt to help with shameful self-promotion. I’m trying to create something that I could look at and say "hmm, I might actually wear that myself"…not an easy task.

Oh…the Key Club show is a week from Saturday [Jan 27th]. I’ll give it a push and plug over the next day. I’m still not sure about what time I go on, but I have a feeling it’ll be early in the night. Ok, I’m on the fence about this Snap Plug-In that I’ve been using the last few days on my blog.

If you Mouse-Over this link, it shows what Snap does. My 1st thought was…"Hey, this is neat" (I like "Blog Toys"). I like the idea of being able to see a snapshot of a link rather than having to click on it…it’s NOT as though is a HUGE Bubble or anything.

Then, someone alerts me that there’s some sort of Anti-Snap campaign going???

The argument is something like…people are saying it’s annoying to be reading and every link is sort of a "Pop Up" ….Of course, I never thought of it like that otherwise I would have never installed it. Basically, I thought it might be nice to get a preview of things and then letting readers decide whether or not they wish to click it.

I’m told it eats up bandwidth as well…but what do I know.

So what do you guys think? Is it annoying? Neat? Or a passing Blog Phase?

I certainly don’t want to push readers away over a plug-in. I will say that after reading and hearing that there’s this big Snap Haters Club, it annoyed me to think that the creators of Snap probably busted their ass to come up with a nice fun little "Extra" for bloggers and they’re taking some flack for it.

Anyway..I’m on the fence and would like to hear what other readers and bloggers think. No, I CAN think for myself but to make up my mind before hearing all sides is silly

Off subject…I am suspended from my next hockey game for fighting that last game. It was either pay a fine or take the suspension. I thought my rep my might increase a little more if i took the suspension ha!!!

Hi Peoples!

I’ve DONE IT! No, I haven’t been offered that Trillion Dollar Record and Publishing contract…that’ll come later in the year…but what I have done is FINALLY get my mailing list MANAGED. This thing has been a MONSTER!

I’m now hooked up with a little something called iFanz that helped me take 4 mailing lists down to just 1. The trouble I was running into before was… I had a Personal Mailing list…a Fan List…a My Space List…Text Mailing List..and my old Band’s (Moisture) Mailing list. What was happening was…I’d send out a mailer and someone might get the same message 4 or 5 times times. [Talk about being hit on the head over and over!]

Anyway…if you’ve ever received an email from me in the past, you should now be on this new ONE mailing list and will not get bombarded. The Text Messages are something different…if you’re on that then you get free stuff and I will text you the meaning of life in the next texting. [As always, you can leave any list at any time by just one click–I do not wish to Spam anyone]

Sorry I haven’t been updating more frequently. It’s been a mix of not really having much to say as well as being swamped with other things…mostly being swamped  All is well though.

The last few days have been spent making noise and getting ready for The Key Club show on January 27th. I’m excited to be opening up for the group "Great White"…I’m not sure how well their fans will like me but since this concert is a benefit, I suppose it’s all about the cause. I haven’t started really pushing this show just yet since I don’t have all the nitty gritty details (like times slots and all that) but I do know that tickets can be purchased online at this link. This Saturday I’m going to the CD Release Party of my friend James Lee Stanley in Culver City. James is one of my favorite folk Singer Songwriters who’s been out there pounding the pavement for years. JLS was also nice enough to help me out on some of my recordings. VERY TALENTED HUMAN BEING…not to mention a nice guy.

Monday, there’s a chance I might be hanging at some Golden Globe’s Party but nothing’s in stone yet.

Let’s see…some other things happening in January? Starting January 17th I’ll be at The NAMM Show in OC. I get to meet the fine folks at Yamaha and check out the new stuff. I went to NAMM in the past and it’s always a ton of fun. It’s a Musician’s Disney Land.

Well…I suppose I should get some work done.

I haven’t heard anything about whether or not I’m suspended from my next hockey game so I’m taking that as "I’m NOT"..fingers are crossed. Oh..this reminds me..there’s also an Ice Skate Party my team is throwing on a Saturday night this month too. Should be fun!

I know I haven’t blogged in a few days… "Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans"…

Last night, I ended up doing something I haven’t done in a LONG time. I got into a FIGHT. I was playing hockey and one guy on other team BLATANTLY punched a gal on my team[yes, we have a few girls on our team] and knocked her down. She’s a tough gal and can take a hit but this was so intentional and seeing it made me spaz out and start hitting the guy in the head a bunch of times until the refs pulled me off him.

I didn’t even think about it…it was just an involuntary reaction to watching a guy 6′3 / 260lbs punch a gal in the head (who can’t weigh more than 120lbs) and knock her down.

Fighting is such a strange thing. I was always a scrappy little kid in my teen years, but as an adult, it’s not something I even consider. However, last night I really lost control. It’s not a good feeling to lose control like Dr. Bruce Banner after too many Gamma Rays

When most people think of hockey…the 1st thing they think about is fighting…but fighting in games is such a RARE thing. It really doesn’t happen …because if you fight…they throw you out of the game and can fine you.

And so…Last night I was THROWN out of the game…I’m not even sure If I get to play next week but I guess I’ll find out soon enough. The guy had it coming though. My fist is a little sore today but I walked away without a scratch.

No, I’m not one of these guys who has to fight to be all "bad ass"…It actually takes more strength to walk away from a battle but last night I gave in to the dark side.
