Last night’s Radio Interview was fun. [Thanks Adam for having me and for letting me plug ST.com! And Thanks to anyone who tuned in!]

I always worry that I’m saying something really silly on interviews but I suppose "silly" can be entertaining.

Yesterday afternoon, I had some pictures taken…My friend Val was messing around with his new photography studio and fudging with the lighting and backgrounds so I got to be the test subject. It wasn’t really a photo shoot but I did walk away with a handful of nice shots. Thanks Val. [I'll post some others soon]

Let’s see, I have a hockey game tonight…I’m REALLY looking forward to playing tonight. Last week, we didn’t have a game and now I have all this pinned up aggression that I’m ready to get out. GRRRR!

I’ve been biting my lip on some things lately…so much so that it’s really taking all my energy not to speak up. I will cough it up eventually but now’s not the time…meanwhile…back to biting my lip completely off

Tonight I’ll be on the Pop Garden Radio for a little bit … chatting with my buddy Adam. It’s a late late night show…so those of you without vampire blood may not be able to tune in but for the rest of us Holy Water fearing creatures… feel free to tune in to the online stream at http://www.920wmel.com.

I’ve known Adam for a few years now…ever since his days at Underground Radio…Here’s a picture of the two of us when he and some friends came out to Hollywood to visit about a year back.

I just looked back at like the last handful of blog entries I’ve written…  HOW ZZZZZZZ!!! LOL… I don’t think I would read my own blog If I didn’t know me…at least not with posts like I’ve been doing. Sure, this whole StarTomorrow contest is exciting and it’s taking up most of my time and thoughts, but I feel like I’ve lost a little personal touch to my blog. Like, I’ve been holding back what I REALLY think about everything.

The reason I started this journal to begin with was so I could write some frustrations out and to document my own “starving artist” life here in Hollywood…and now, I find myself worried that I’m saying too much…or not enough…being too personal…or not personal enough. It’s a little tough sometimes to REALLY open up because I blog under my own name and some things I really do want to keep personal or just for a handful of close friends. It can be tricky. I do think what I need to start doing though …Is open up a little more.

I’ll start with the most eye-popping Holy Cow Moment I’ve had over the last month(maybe lifetime). I’ve blogged about this subject before and anyone who has been reading my blog for a long time, knows that I have these 1/2 brothers/sisters who don’t know I’m their brother. I’m not going to go into the details of all that right now other than to say ….Dear old Dad never told them about me and I’ve been kept as some sort of hidden Love Child for all these years. I’ve been fighting off the urge to contact these siblings and having an Oprah Moment out of respect for my father’s wishes (another long story).

Well….since the start of this StarTomorrow show and when it aired on NBC a while back, my father got wind that I was going to be on it….I’m told he sat around with some of his family and watched. The latest thing I’ve been told is that a brother of mine has been keeping up with the show online and watching and voting for me (just thinking that I’m some sort of friend of the family or something). I’m told he and his wife really like me and the music [probably not enough to be reading my journal, but who knows]. Yesterday(or the day before-I’m losing track of days), my non-knowing-brother actually made a very nice comment about me on the Startomorrow site. I recognized the name and sort of freaked out a little.

Is this a way of my dad wanting to tell his kids about me? I’m not going to hold my breath. Maybe my brother has figured it out? I DO look quite a bit like my father. I don’t know…the whole thing is just a little freaky. One day, I WILL meet these siblings. How will they react to me? I don’t have a clue…but I hope they buy my CD I just know that at least one of them will be saying “Hey aren’t you the guy from that online show?”

Anyway…I hope this entry breaks up my blog from looking like one big StarTomorrow.com Commercial. But I can’t help giving the continuous plugs for the show. This is part of being part on the show…I signed up for this …OH….as always, I still need votes…and if we win this week, I’ll need them next week. It’s Week 11 now and it’s all over on Week 14 (or sooner depending on if we get the votes). As of now…If it all ends tomorrow, It’ll still be good to say that we made it to the Top 12. That sort of thing looks good on the bio. You guys are the ones to thank!

This is just a REAL quick blog to say WE WON..it looks OFFICIAL! Just getting this out real quick-like…more to come! But since the race for votes is on, I just wanted to say the site looks like it’s ready and working again.

Yesterday, I had written a blog and decided NOT to post it. How many of you have ever done that? It was a good one too…I’m glad I wrote it for myself though. And just by writing it helped me vent it out…even if no one will ever read it.

Today, is Val’s birthday…HAPPY BIRTHDAY VAL! Anyone who ever reads the comments on this blog will know who Val is…Val doesn’t hold back and can tend to be a little twisted. We like "twisted" right? Val also is a good friend and always has great Hollywood Stories from days of working at Entertainment Tonight and as a director. I keep telling him he needs to start a blog of his own or write a book about the Celebs he’s worked with…people like to hear about that sort of stuff. I know I do.

Tonight at 9pm, I’m supposed to find out if I’m moving on to the next round of StarTomorrow.com. IF we do move on to the next round, it’s supposed to start tonight at 9pm(Eastern)…and IF so, we’ll be in Week 11 [of 14]. Either way, I will have a thank you email to write.

UPDATE: I THINK we Won…we seem to be in Week 11 right now at 4pm(PST)–but they’re still working on the site

This will either say something like:

1. THANKS…we won and we’re now posted again in Week 11 and need your vote again ASAP…or

2. THANKS… we didn’t make it to the next round but we’re so happy that you guys brought us this far…etc…

I’m hoping to write Thanks #1…but none of us knows for sure. Life goes on either way. I really am happy to have good friends out there who are helping with all this. Sometimes saying "Thank You" just isn’t enough words.

I guess I can’t really say too much about anything until we know the results tonight(unless the site goes all screwy like last week). I’ll just end with saying I am GLAD this voting week is almost over. Thanks all!!!

Thanks to everyone for putting up with my emails and blog entries about getting votes. This campaign has been consuming most of my waking hours(and even some sleeping hours).

The ST.com website now let’s us see who other people have voted for … I was MORE than a little bummed out to see that someone I considered a friend did not vote for me on there but I’m not going to have a fit over it. I will say that this person is someone I’ve jumped through hoops for and tried to help out ….so it really sort of made me realize this person is not such a good friend after all. There’s much more to the story but It’s really hard to go into without completely and publicly slamming this person. Sure, part of me would like to go into the details but I’ll take the higher ground and just write it off. A contest is not worth losing a friend over…but if they were never a friend to begin with? Well…let’s just say I’ve learned THAT this week.

With all that being said…let me just say that I’m also overwhelmed with gratitude to the people who have voted for us and helped get us this far. Win or lose, you all are FANTASTIC!

On to other thoughts…

Yesterday, I went to the Dentist and had a wisdom tooth pulled as well as another tooth that originally had a root canal done on it years ago(it cracked so I needed it removed). I’m a little loopy at the moment. Thankfully, they’re in the very back and can’t be seen but…there’s still some pain and I’m still spitting up a little blood. Also, I have stitches in my mouth…not fun. I woke up today feeling like my head was run over by a truck.

My trip to this particular dentist, will be the last. See…I have a huge fear of being put to sleep (I know many others really like that but I just hate the thought of it) and the whole office of people were trying to talk me into being knocked out[not to mention it would be an extra cost]. I’ve had other wisdom teeth pulled before…they just gave me shots and pulled ‘em out…I saw no reason why they couldn’t do that again but they kept telling me that it couldn’t be done (or some crap like that). It got to the point where I jumped out of the dentists chair and went back into the lobby and almost left.

Unfortunately, I REALLY did need the teeth pulled so I went back in and he did it my way…shot me up and pulled… the guy was NOT very gentle with the shots though…I’m sure he had that "I’ll show you, you’re gonna wish you were knocked out for this" thought going on in his head while he was doing it…I didn’t give him the pleasure of even flinching though. But seriously…what sort of messed up dental trip is this? As if people aren’t already afraid of going to the dentist?…this guy was trying to force me to get put to sleep when I tell him I have a phobia of being put under??? Come on!

I did give him a card that said Vote for me on StarTomorrow.com though when I left….the chances of him voting? LOL

Well, …COOL! The StarTomorrow site seems to be working again. After a rough start, this week’s Race for Votes begins! 

I really need your vote on there so I can fly everyone around on my private jet, afford my 17th Face Lift, and bid on the bones of The Elephant Man to make my life complete GET YOUR VOTE IN NOW WHILE THE SITE STILL WORKS [Evil Grin].

I sent out a mass-email to my friends about the show and asked for votes…as well as thanked them for previous votes. If we win, it will because of you all…every vote counts and as the weeks go on, it gets tougher since we’re up against groups with larger fan-bases.

As for some of my personal thoughts about the show, each week gets a little harder to try to keep everyone excited about coming back[I need some new magic tricks]…some folks are under the impression that because we’ve been winning that we already have enough others to vote to keep us going….BZZZZZZZ! "Survey Says…wrong answer"…We DO need each vote to stay in the game.

Well…enough about that…Win or Lose, you voters are super-fantastic! And so it’s back to the Campaign!!! "If elected, we promise make a really great new CD"–we’re going to do that regardless…but elect us anyway so I can ask David Foster in person if Little Richard was held up by wires on Celebrity Duets.

I’d like to thank everyone for their patience regarding this StarTomorrow.com website being DOWN. The site STILL seems to be be screwed up and I’m sure they’re working to get it back up and running.

Yeah… not fun, but I’m glad there are those out there who care enough to want to hurry to get their votes in. Thanks!

Right now… It would seem that ALL the bands in "Week 10" are all dealing with the same issues but I admit…it does SUCK.

I’m trying to be all silly about it(why not laugh huh?) when in fact it’s sort of painful to know that I’ve sent out and promoted this thing like crazy only for it to be almost a full day later and it’s STILL not working. On the bright side…I do know that all the bands in THIS WEEK are dealing with the same issues… so I guess it does level the playing field a bit[but this is with this week only].

I DID get to hear "Upside Down" that they had posted for a moment or two when the site was working and I’m not super happy with the audio mix but "It is, what it is"…sure, the Mix could be better…but it could also be worse ;)…..so now if the site ever goes back up, I go back to hustling for votes. It’s all about the Votes.

I’ll be sure to let everyone know when the site is back up and running. Sorry again…I just hope this doesn’t discourage people from sending votes our way in the future.

Off subject: I was eating lunch less than 5 minutes ago…and just saw Kevin Spacey.

Last night I slithered out to the Key Club’s Plush Lounge. A fellow StarTomorrow’er was performing [Cindy Alexander]…I walked away SPEECHLESS! It was such an AMAZING show. There were actually a few times in her set where I got chills.

Cindy was very sweet (as was the rest of her band)! I hope to do a show with them down the road…I have a feeling the same people who will come to see me play will also enjoy her[hopefully that works the other way around too]. Hell….one of her songs… "Angles & Demons" is a song I WISH I had written myself! [I picked it up on iTunes today]. The recording is great but something about listening to it live…made it SO POWERFUL. That opening line of "Angels & Demons, I’m caught between them" hooked me.

I look forward to checking out more bands from the StarTomorrow show in the future as well as do shows with them too…there’s even talk of a StarTomorrow Live Show with a bunch of bands. More on that when I know…

Speaking of StarTomorrow…We’ll be posted this Monday at 9pm EST so get your voting shoes on tomorrow night. I’m pretty sure they’ll be posting "Upside Down"…Spread the word! We’ll be in Week 10….the show only goes to Week 14 and we really really really want to go as far as you guys take us…hopefully that’s to the Week 14 If we make it through next week, it looks like we’ll get posted WEEKLY until they announce the winner right after Week 14…we can see the Finish Line. Just a few more weeks!

I’m SO glad they changed the voting rules of the show and that they no longer have you paired against someone else….from now on it’s just "Vote for who you like"…and those with the most votes move on!
