I got an email update from the folks at the 16th Annual LA Music Awards. Yes, I get "bragging rights" now to say that I was nominated for Rock Singer Songwriter of the Year 2006…I DO NOT expect to win the actual Award, though that would be sooo bad ass!!

They sent out these banners and I’m doing my part by plastering them all over my site, blog and My Space. They also sent out more information about the "Main Event" itself.

Tickets for the show are now on sale at http://www.lamusiconline.com/ for the November 9th show at the Music Box Theater here in LA. BUT here’s the good news for those who can’t make it…the show will be WEB CAST at the URL above. Tune in if you can! It’s supposed to be on some TV in some places too but I’m not sure if it’ll be national. I know they’ll be some Celeb’s there and it should be fun to watch [even from your computer]. Unless I don’t win…then you can scream at your laptops all you want–KIDDING.

I DO plan on being there with bells on though…and sure, I’m hopeful that I get the award (who wouldn’t be eh?) but I’m just happy to go and have a good time. More about this the closer is comes….Same goes for the JPF Awards.

My last blog entry mentioned how I was worried that people might be getting tired of me asking for votes on StarTomorrow… and I got some really ….really … really nice emails from it as well as some great comments. Most said things like "don’t worry…we got your back and we want to see you win"…those types of emails are REFRESHING to read and hear… THANKS! But enough about ST for now…I have all next week to talk about that

With everything going on, I took a moment last night to just sit and WRITE MUSIC again. That felt good! I seem to be so caught up with everything else that I’m forgetting to PLAY! LOL

Oh…I now remember what I wanted to address…someone had mentioned that I needed to get a little more "personal" on my journal and that it would make for "better reading". This subject really requires a whole new entry because It would take so much more than a paragraph to really dive into. Mainly, I blog as a scrapbook and to document and touch on things happening(and maybe to rant a little for personal therapy). The promotion is a nice added bonus too.

There’s so much more I’d love to write about but I’ll have to save all that for the Book Deal –KIDDING …but in all seriousness, it’s a little tricky to touch on certain subjects. Saying some things, could actually make people change their views of me…stop reading…not buy my CDs… etc…[a good example is when I blogged on my views of the Death Penalty- I lost some respect from people I respected]… we all want to be liked eh? The thing I’m just now starting to realize is…not everyone is going to like me and I’m OK with that, but at the moment I can’t afford to open up too many cans of worms
