The Good News of the moment:

I found out yesterday that I’ve been nominated for another award. This one’s from the JPF Awards for Male Singer Songwriter (2006). That, on top of just getting the nomination for Rock Singer Songwriter of the Year (2006) from the LA Music Awards for Upside Down…well..um WOW! I’m really giddy…and geeky with excitement. As cliché as it sounds…it really is just an honor to be recognized and nominated. I’m very lucky at the moment and am just going to try and enjoy the moments while they’re here. [The JPF Award Show is Nov 4th and the LAMA Award Show is Nov 9th.]

And of course…there’s the NBC online Reality Show [StarTomorrow] that’s been taking up much of my time and thoughts…it’s certainly on the front burner of the stove right now. I still need as many votes as I can get so we can move on to the next round. [Info on voting is in the last blog entry].

I’ve been getting tons of emails from folks saying things like "you guys are going to sail through this round" but when I hear stuff like that..it’s scares me…hard to explain. I also worry a little about some of the mean comments about being said about who I’m up against…I sure hope she(and her band) realize that I’m not out there telling people to rip on her…I’m actually doing just the opposite. The nice comments are good to read…but we all know the only thing that really matters is the actual vote. A person could have 200 comments saying great things and still not win the round. I guess I just realize that it’s not a walk in a park and I still need to work for it.

Last night, we had a band rehearsal that I thought sounded pretty well…we’re getting ready for show and trying to perfect the set list. Still no date or place to name just yet…but real soon
