Some Pictures from the Cruise
Sunday, March 26th, 2006Here’s just a few photos from the cruise. I’ll post more when I get them.

[Me and Mom at dinner]
The photo above was the 1st formal dinner. There were 2 nights where I had to wear a tux.
It feels pretty weird to be back. I’m super Jet-Lagged and there’s a part of me that still feels like i’m STILL on the ship. After rocking back and fourth for the last week and being stuck all day yesterday at airports, my body is just not used to being on land. I’m just glad it wasn’t our ship that caught on fire. I heard about the other ship getting 150 cabins burned while I was on board…we were on the same cruise line and lucked out that it wasn’t our ship. Our weather was great for 6 days of the cruise but the last day it was stormy and we were tossed around. I didn’t mind though.
I had cell reception in St. Thomas but I spent most of the day there Scuba Diving. What a weird feeling to be underwater and not have to come up for air. We only went down 40 feet but my ears hurt a little as I went deeper. It’s pretty tricky learning Scuba. I had to take long exhales to sink and bigger inhales to go up… you really have to think about what you’re doing and control your breathing. I ended up getting stung by a jellyfish(or perhaps some sort of coral) but the stinging went away after about an hour or so. I still loved it though and recommend everyone trying it at least once.
We didn’t dive from a boat…We just did it from the beach. The guide gave us these little milk-bones that you would give a dog to feed the fish with and once you crumbled it up, swarms of fish surrounded you. VERY NEAT!Most of the trip was spent over-eating. I feel like I gained 20 lbs. All the food is included so it’s easy to get carried away with never-ending meals. The entertainment on board was nice but for the most part, it was a little like Vegas shows (only not as good).

Our particular ship was relatively new and it had a movie theater on the top deck overlooking one of the pools and hot tubs. They aired a bunch of movies and at night it reminded me of being at a drive-in theater. I liked that quite a bit. Ironically, they even showed the movie Titanic one of the days. Funny that they would show that… I got a laugh out it but I would imagine it to be like showing the first "Final Destination" movie on a flight. Hmmm.
Anyway…it was a great trip. I’ll post more pictures soon.
Time to get back in the swing of things here. This might take some adjusting.
While away, I received a bunch of emails letting me know more details about the next season of CBS’s "Rockstar: Season Two" .. Super Nova huh? Should be interesting. I’m not sure if I’m what they’re looking for, but I suppose I’ll find out soon enough. Either way, It should be an interesting experience doing the audition. I heard that 60 thousand people will be trying out. CRAZY!
When I heard that it was Tommy Lee and Crew, I was thinking that I should change my auditioning song but then the more I started to think about it, the more I figured I should just be myself and stick with my original songs. The way I see it is, If i’m right for it then it’s best to just be myself rather than try to figure out what it is that they’re looking for. I think most people can see right through something that isn’t real.
Well, I guess I should try to get caught up now. I have a hockey game tonight at 9pm and I’m really not up for it. Perhaps I’ll get a 2nd wind later though.
More soon!
