On the Set

Today, I dropped in on the shooting of a TV pilot that’s using some of my music as intro/outro things (Actually I won’t really know how it’ll be used until everything’s all edited together but I’m excited).
I really didn’t do too much of anything but chit-chat and watch as they were shooting …BUT I was an "official" Walkie-Talkie holder at one point and I felt important having it in hand
It was quite a bit of fun seeing all the "behind the scenes" stuff that goes into a production. It’s really quite a bit of work for the people involved but it seems like "Fun Work" and everyone was super nice.
I didn’t stay for the full shoot(things got off to a late start and I had to get back) but I was there long enough to get a strong feeling that this Pilot has a great shot of being picked up. [I'll go into more when I know more...right now, I don't want to say what the show's about or who was on it until I get word to do so.]
Candice [AKA: \'dÄs\ ] is the Super Hero girl who hooked me up with this. Seeing her in action as producer was like watching Wonder Woman deflect bullets with her bracelets. Quite a talent!
I was trying to just stay out of the way, so I was mainly just an observer and got to watch everyone do the real work. I left feeling a bit beat not having done much of anything other than shake hands, so I can just imagine what the crew will be feeling like tonight. I really think much of my being tired had to do with doing hockey stuff for the last 3 days in the row and having a late practice last night: I’m sore. Seeing just part of what was taped for the Pilot got me all excited though. I’ll leave it at that
Ok, so that was the uplifting part of my day…Not meaning to end on a "downer" … I received an email while at the shoot that someone I went to school with had died. I sent off a quick email to my friend Janine in Michigan to find out more details and was told he committed suicide.
I don’t know any more details other than that. Very sad news though. I guess this is a good place to stop typing.
