Blog Prostitution
Friday, January 6th, 2006Before I go on about my day…let me introduce you to the new tenant who was kind enough to rent my blog. It’s just something I’m trying out via Blog Explosion.com (where people can rent a little space on other blogs with credits they’ve either purchased or gain by surfing and reading through other blogs). It’s a neat little traffic tool.
When I 1st heard of the Blog Renting idea, I thought it was a little weird mainly because I’m always happy to add a link to other blogs I read to my sidebar…but with that being said, I thought…"well hell, this gives me a chance to spotlight one of ‘em"….and so I figured I’d give it a shot and test it out. [Not only that, I get some BE credits to lose at Battle of the Blogs]
Thanks to anyone who put in a bid to rent it…there were quite a few, I didn’t realize that I actually had to pick one. I sort of felt like I was in gym class and I had to pick people for my basketball team or something. I hope I get a chance to have more teammates
Anyway…so for the next week, I hope anyone reading this would take a second and click on Mr. Haddock’s Blog (A view from an Englishman in Germany) to the right. Mr. Haddock is an extremely entertaining writer [ I especially had a major chuckle over his Thursday, December 01, 2005 Entry "Talking Bollocks" AKA the sperm-o-gram entry]. I enjoy all of his blogs but this one sticks out. [rim shot] Anyway…go check out his blog.
On to the day… Today, Bass Player Randy came over and we worked on some new songs for the next CD. It was great…In fact, I’d sort of forgotten what it was like to actually sit down and play music with someone. Randy is ultra-talented and plays in a few other bands around town. [Here's the part where I name-drop]… You guys remember MTV’s very 1st Real World in NY? Well Randy is playing in Andre’s new band too. Andre was one of the guys on that show. It’s basically THE show that started all the Reality TV Explosion. Andre’s a nice guy and still playing music around here in Hollywood-land.
Any-hoot, I look forward to the next musical session…it was FUN. I need more of that in my life
