[Me and Mom at the Beach "Thanksgiving 2005"]
Well…As I mentioned in the last post, my mother flew in from Michigan and my Aunt and Cousin flew in from Pennsylvania. We did some tourist things…hit the beach…Disneyland…The Walk of Fame in Hollywood…Rodeo Drive…Melrose…Sunset Blvd… And we even managed to squeeze in a Thanksgiving meal(free of Bird Flu). It was a very nice visit. My Aunt and Cousin [pictured right] ended up getting tattoos on Hollywood Blvd. I guess that makes my family pretty "rock and roll". I’m tattoo free… so far…but If I were to get one, I’d go all out and just get a full sleeve. I think the last time I’d seen my cousin was about 6 years ago (briefly)at a wedding in Michigan… before that, I’m pretty sure it was when she came to visit us for a summer back when she was 7 years old … I blink and suddenly everyone grows up. Not me though My Aunt, I see more often… if memory serves me…it was in Las Vegas a little over a year ago. She looks exactly how I remember her looking from the time I was a kid. I think everyone had a nice time…For the most part, the weather was great. The days were sunny and warm… maybe a little windy as you can see from this photo above… but then again it can get to be a little windy on the ocean. Yesterday as we were walking through Hollywood…it was FREEZING …though I’m sure nowhere as cold as what everyone else was used to. [I'm told it's snowing in Michigan and Pennsylvania now] And so…I’m guessing this brings out the crowds even more. All I know is….it was PACKED! And I’m told there’s even MORE people there on Christmas day. Hard to imagine more there than the amount I saw …but I’ll be sure not to go then. I hope you all had a nice weekend!

Oh, I should mention…err…I mean WARN… Going to Disneyland over Thanksgiving weekend is probably not the best time to go. Apparently…the Wednesday just before Thanksgiving is when they decorate Disney to have a Christmas theme. Even the Haunted Mansion was changed to be "The Nightmare Before Christmas".
