I’m not sure how many of you have been watching the INXS Rockstar show but it’s one of the handful of shows I’ve been Tivo’ing.

My 1st impressions of the show were not very good….but over the last 3 or 4 weeks of watching, I’ve been enjoying it much more. My initial prediction was that Mig would win but after listening to his original song that sort of reminded me of a David Cassidy teeny-bopper song [which i think has it's own market], I realized that’ll put him in the category of:

“yoh jus’ not riot fur err bay-and….INXS”

[side note...I'm not sure why they have to keep saying their band name...isn't it obvious?]

And so, I think Mig will be going soon … My guess now is that It’ll be Marty who walks away with the prize. JD looks like he fits in the the band the most but…err…uh… he’s annoying if I were in INXS, i don’t think I’d WANT to have to deal with the guy.

I suppose what bugs me most about the show is…that these contestants all basically do way too much verbal ass kissing to the band, when it’s the band that really needs the lead singer. Well…that’s harsh…i know that one hand washes the other but I do groan every time i hear someone on the show say something like:
“I just want to do what INXS wants me to do…I’m here to do what’s right for INXS”–or another similar type of brown nosing.

The way the show is set up…INXS are like 5 kings and their servants are in front of them to entertain. In the end, I’m thinking whoever comes in 2nd & 3rd place is going to have it better off. I’m guessing they’ll be offered their own record deals and not have to worry about being INXS’ puppet. Who knows.

I guess it’s only because I’ve never been a huge INXS fan. I do like a handful of their songs, though I have to admit I fast forward through most of those on the Tivo

If they ever had a TV show called “Rockstar: Queen” I’d certainly LOVE to try out for that show. I think the ratings would be higher …but I also think that the band Queen probably wouldn’t want to try to replace someone who is certainly NOT replacable.

More that half of Los Angeles is without power. I have power…but my internet connection is out and i’m sure it’s somehow connected.

Thankfully, I’m geeky enough to be able to email and blog from my Treo 650 cell phone.-it’s just a little tricky though.

Will report more later today but I figured being involved in a huge power loss is worthy on blogging.
The bright side is…I was not out in traffic when all the street lights went out. I’m lucky.
