Last night’s party was fun. As I mentioned in the last post, It was a fellow teammates birthday/housewarming party. The house is GREAT…I think the yard was my favorite part. Yards are not easy to come by here in Hollywood. It wasn’t a monster house or anything like that but because of the way real estate is here, I’m willing to bet they must have paid about a million dollars for it…Maybe even more.

Tonight we have our usual weekly hockey game. I’m hoping to win but we’re up against the 1st place team. I’m not sure we’ve ever beat these guys but there’s a 1st time for everything

I’m blogging with a new tool. Basically, I’m just trying it out…anyone who uses blogger.com can download the free blogger Word add-on. So far, I installed it and I like it. You can also open a post you’ve already done and save it right into a Word Doc [pretty handy actually]. The only thing I’m searching for is where to title the post but perhaps it’ll ask you once you hit the Publish button. Yes… I just tested it…that’s what happened. Cool.

Anyway …this is enough of a test for now I guess.

Tonight, I’m going to a housewarming/ birthday party.
I need to shower and get in gear to be fashionably late. I don’t plan on staying out too long but it’ll be good to get out.

I know the poll has only been up for only 19 days but I’m going to take it down because I was told that the company who was providing the service just started to include a POP UP add on my journal–the bastards!! And so, that’s the end of that.

Anyway, It seems like most people would want to start up some sort of relationship. My next question would have been to those people… Do they come from large families, or are they an only child? I’m curious if that would have an effect on how they vote.

To me, all rational thought tells me that we make our own families and whether or not someone is blood related should make no difference. But then there’s that part of me that wonders if blood truly is thicker than water. I have quite a few mixed feelings on this subject.

I don’t think there’s a simple answer to the question above. At least for me… Knowing that I DO have siblings out there who don’t know I’m alive, I’d certainly love to meet them and get to know them if they’re open for that. Of course, I worry that they wouldn’t want to have anything to do with me and that I’d be looked at as an outsider…I worry about more than that too but those are the first things that come to mind.

I have some friends who were adopted and later in life searched for their biological parents only to be disappointed when they finally got their chance to meet dear old bio-Mom and bio-Dad. I guess we all tend to glamorize things we wonder about like that. Perhaps it’s best NOT knowing.

I could go on and on about this subject…Someday I will open up a bit more and write a book. But right now, I don’t know what the ending will be like. I’ll find out someday though…Perhaps within the next few years even. Meanwhile, my life continues to be a soap opera.

The bottom line to all this for me is…I realize the cards we are dealt in life shape the people we become and I like who I am (even though I might not be playing with full deck at times)…I can still build my card house with a few jokers regardless. So what if there’s a few open empty seats at the table… I know that I leave an open invite to the missing.

And so, I had some new photos taken last night…I guess it’s always good to have a current photo of oneself. I added one I liked to the upper left corner of the journal…It was between that one and the one below.

Perhaps I should have used this one instead? There’s a few others I liked but these seemed to stick out.

Oh, I was emailed a ton of funny comments about the Bush picture posted yesterday…But someone pointed out that it’s not real. Dubya is actually getting his TIE adjusted in the photo and with a little help from Photoshop…Well..You get the idea. [Mental note: must wear more ties]. Ha! It’s still a funny picture though.

I watched the 1st couple episodes of Tommy Lee goes to College last night. What can I say…I found myself really enjoying it even though a majority of it seems somewhat scripted.–I’m pretty sure MOST reality shows are scripted to some extent. Regardless, I really dug the show. It’s good campy fun

I also watched Sin City last night. I think I liked it…I’m still a little undecided about it actually. I don’t want to like it just because it’s “cool” to like. I thought the acting was great as well as the story…The look itself was pretty comic-bookish and super exaggerated. Ok…I just figured it out… I DID like it, I just don’t think I’d be racing to theaters to watch a bunch of future movies all made on Green/Blue Screen. I think because it’s one of a kind right now it makes it unique but I’d get real tired of that look and style if I started seeing it used all the time.

Remember when the Matrix first came out and then soon after we started seeing EVERYTHING(including Doritos commercials) with that Matrix Camera work? I’m not sure if I’m making any sense. I guess the main thing is, I liked Sin City, I just didn’t love it.

Enough about TV and Movies for now. My Aunt, who lives in Pennsylvania, called me today to say that she’ll be joining my mother and sister on their visit to California over Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone. I’ll try to think of some stuff for us to do. I’m glad everyone’s coming.

I just got an email from the fine folks at Current TV saying that they approved my video clip. For those of you who haven’t heard of Current TV, it’s basically Al Gore’s new cable station based around internet technology.-It’s pretty cool. They have a screening room where people online can view clips and Green Light something they see and like and then it’ll get aired on the station if there’s enough people out there who happen to enjoy the clip.

And so, here’s the direct link if anyone should happen to want to go there and give my clip a Green Light. It’s the Video Diary #1 of Halloween in West Hollywood…It’s edited down to 4 minutes and I had to take off anything referring to my website but I’m just happy to get the clip in rotation

Did anyone happen to watch Comedy Central’s "Roast of Pamela Anderson" last night? I quite enjoyed watching Courtney Love. She’s so neurotic and a little scary…I kept waiting for her to get up and start fighting but then I realized she could hardly stand. A good friend of mine was the Talent Manager for that show…I’m going to call him up and see if there’s any behind the scenes dirt Dirt is good.

Of course…I only caught the TiVo of the show since I was out STOMPING another team in a glorious hockey game. We walked away winning 6 to 3. I had a great assist, but the whole team played really well. Next week we’re up against the 1st place team…It’d be nice to beat those guys too.

I’m a little sore today but there’s something nice about feeling sore(if that makes sense). If I could stomach going to a gym, I would. I guess I’d rather get exercise by doing something rather than feeling like a hamster on a treadmill. Who knows though…I toy with the idea of going and doing a steady routine …I could stand to go a few times a week I suppose. Feeling healthy is a good thing.

Well…All this talk of exercise and health makes me want to go up to 7-11 for my daily junk food

Let me start out by saying that it looks like I am not the only one who’s bloglet.com mailing list doesn’t seem to be working. I checked out their website and they seem to be having troubles. I’ll give it a few days and if by then, it’s not sending out mailers…It’ll be time to look for a new service.

Why have a daily mailer go out to people anyway? Well… It’s basically so you don’t have to visit the blog (if that makes any sense). See, the way I have it set up[when it's working properly] is…It sends the 1st 150 characters of the post in your email box. So …Either it’ll hook you and make you want to click to read more…Or you might think “oh god, not another blog about a hockey game!!”…”I can skip this entry”

Anyway…With any luck the bloglet.com mailer will be working soon.

Today I purchased a can of MONSTER and I’m drinking it as I type.

I’m not trying to promote this, it’s more of a scientific experiment to see which I like best and what sort of effect it has on me.
I’ve only tried a few of these energy drinks in the past ..Like Red Bull and another called ROCKSTAR. [Where do they come up with these names???].

So far, Red Bull gives me the biggest rush but also the biggest “come down” about 3 hours after. I actually like the ROCKSTAR drink better but I’m embarrassed to be holding a can that actually says ROCKSTAR on it. This Monster stuff tastes OK so far but I’m not sure if I like the taste better than the others.

Thing is, there’s SO MANY of these types of energy drinks on the market that it’s hard to tell what to buy for a jolt every now and then. Ya gotta love a can of soda pop that has a warning on the side saying:
