Well, life is still good. I didn’t wake up to find out that last night was a dream or anything like that.

I spent some of last night reading through the record deal and most of it makes sense… Though there are a few spots that seem a little like Egyptian hieroglyphics. I’m supposed to meet with my Indiana Jones Lawyer tomorrow and he’ll walk me through The Lost Ark Contract.

I’m trying not to get too ahead of myself but It’s hard not to be excited. I feel very lucky and grateful but I’m also walking with caution. As some of you know, my old band was offered a nice contract through FarmClub/Interscope a few years ago that vanished when the label went under. Getting the phone call saying someone gave the green light to offer a deal felt pretty amazing back then and twice as painful to watch it go…Not that it doesn’t feel great now,..It does. It’s just that I’ve learned that until ANY deal’s done, it’s not a good idea to pull out the party hats, balloons and streamers. Though I will let myself try a little bit of the cake.

Ah who the hell am I kidding? Hooray!
Oh and thanks for the emails I’ll be sure to keep updating(hopefully with more and more good news).

Before I go let me clear up a myth.
It seems that most folks think that when someone gets “signed“, it means that they are suddenly wealthy. I hate to ruin the illusion here or pop anyone’s bubble but it’s not true. It just means that someone believes in you enough to invest in you… And it’s basically a big loan that needs to be paid back.

Anyway…I just wanted to mention that so it’ll explain why I haven’t raced out to buy random strangers Pink Cadillac’s [that comes later]
