I am, I said
Friday, May 27th, 2005Many of you have Monday off work. I hope your 3 day weekend turns out to be a fun one!
Mine? I have no major plans … And that’s perfect. Memorial Day Weekend to me, always meant the START OF SUMMERTIME…Just as Labor Day Weekend always felt like the end of Summer. This is a Michigan mentality I believe [or at least the mind-state of people who live with snow for at least 6 months of the year]. And in-between Memorial Day and Labor Day is my favorite… FOURTH OF JULY!!! NOTHING COMPARES to my Michigan 4th of July memories as a kid. Those were always great times.
Camping…Now there’s something I haven’t done in ages! Of course…These days, I think my idea of “roughing it” would be slightly different than it was back when I was 17
Ok, so I’m a little homesick… It happens. Odd thing is…When I go back home to visit, it no longer feels like home. [ I know, it sounds like a Neil Diamond song ]
Yesterday I received an email that threw me for a loop. Rather than going into details, the analogy of what it felt like was as if someone had come to me for a job interview-of which I decided not to hire this person. And rather than this person saying “thank you for your consideration“…The email basically said “um, no you already hired me and I’m not leaving“. VERY STRANGE and borderline delusional. I won’t go into details here as to the true nature of this email but let’s just say I feel like I’m being stalked and I’m wondering if it’s going to get to the point where I have to “call security” to escort this person out of the building.
Well…enough about the silliness. The shower calls and I need to wash off this grubby feeling before I start a fun weekend.
