Hmmm…
I’m finding this whole American Idol show very addictive.
I thought last night’s show was pretty good.

For those who don’t watch the show, last night the last 3 had to sing 3 songs. One that Clive Davis picked, one that the “idols” picked, and the last that the judges picked.

I liked the songs Clive Davis picked the best…I noticed the ones that he picked for the “idols” all seems to have STRONG hooks and melodies–not to mention they were LASTING songs.
Having Bo sing “don’t let your son go down on me“[oh way that's a Michael Jackson song]…er..I mean Elton John’s “don’t let the sun go down on me” was a great song choice for Bo…His songs he’s been singing the last few weeks have been dull and this made him work at it a little.

Bo’s 2nd BANDLESS song was very brave…Yeah, I think he’s got a great voice but has anyone ever heard that song? It sounded almost like he was just making up the words as he was going along. Yeah…It had soul but it felt a little like I should have been standing up for the Star Spangled Banner. I don’t know…Of all the songs to get to pick from, to sing that one…I don’t get it. I think everyone already gets the idea that he has a good voice…Doing the a cappella thing seemed sort of pointless …But I guess it did make him stand out as doing something different.

Bo’s 3rd song that was picked by Paula …The Rolling Stones??? That’s about all I can remember. I sort of groaned as he was singing it…it wasn’t that bad….It just wasn’t GREAT to me. Regardless, I still think he’ll win it all–or at least…He deserves it.

Tonight, we’ll be seeing Vonzell or Carrie go home. It’s really a coin toss.

I thought Carrie picked a great song for herself ["Making Love Out of Nothing At All"]…Unfortunately, having Randy Jackson pick that god-awful Shania Twain song for her to end on… Well…that could kill her right there. Vonzell was given a much better song to sing["On the Radio"]…My gut tells me Vonzell’s going back to sorting our mail…But I’ve been wrong the last 3 weeks on who is going so don’t make any bets on my account
I only say that because looking on iTunes today top 4 selling songs from the new American Idol CD are:

1. “I Don’t Want to Be“–Bo
2. “Independence Day“–Carrie
3. “Best of My Love” Vonzell
4. “My Funny Valentine”–Constantine

Perhaps the top sales are a slight indication of how the votes will be going tonight?
I say…we put on the boxing gloves on the girls and make them cat fight for it Or razor sharp fighting fans…you know …“crouching tiger hidden idol”
