Happy Cinco de Mayo to those of you who celebrate that…Here in Hollywood, it looks like a gloomy day and like rain is on the way. Here’s a quickie cell phone picture I snapped on Sunset Blvd. about 15 minutes ago:

My American Idol “spidey sense” has been off 2 weeks in a row Very strange the way things worked out last night but I’m not too upset. To me, Scott had one of his better singing nights the night before and Anthony had one of his worst…yet…Scott went “buh bye“. And so… I’m guessing voters got tired of his overly confident attitude and voted for everyone BUT him. I don’t know… Just when I think I have this American Idol machine figured out, something totally different happens. I’m actually happy about the outcome though

What seemed more disturbing was that I ended up watching that special called “Fallen Idol“…You know, the big “exploding story” about how Paula had slept with a contestant and coached him.-of which it really made no difference because the guy was kicked off the show for lying about his criminal record. About 15 minutes into the report, I found my stomach churning when I realized I was suckered into watching one big commercial for the guy’s soon to be released CD and Book. I was getting a sense of “this is just in bad taste“… Yeah, I think it was wrong of Paula but I couldn’t help but feel bad for her at the same time. I also couldn’t help but feel that Mr. “Fallen Idol” was slimy. I’m wondering if other people felt the same way I did.
I also wonder if there’ll be any sort of repercussions.

Well…onto other thoughts of the day…
I’m really so STOKED about this summer’s blockbuster movies. I hardly ever go out to see a movie in the theater but you can bet I’ll be standing in line to see these:
1. Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

2. The Fantastic Four

3. War of the Worlds

I think I’m MOST excited about Revenge of the Sith but the others will get me standing in line as well As for DVD releases…I’m really looking forward to the May 17th release of Kinsey.
