How are you all?

Last night I posted a very short and sweet little blurb just saying “I feel good” [cue the James Brown song]. I wish I could have gone into more detail but hopefully I’ll be able to say more in the next few weeks. Mainly, these are good times and really great things seem to be happening. That’s all I can really say for now about it. I’ve been posting my journal entries over the last few days privately. It’s not as much fun as blabbing but at least I have it recorded for myself.

I’ve also been playing quite a bit of tennis lately with Rufus and am really enjoying the sport. We both seem to be getting better each time we play and what’s funny is…it seems like it’s MUCH better. What I mean is…usually a person slowly improves at something…well the with these last few tennis matches it seems like things suddenly started to click and the volleys were looking and feeling as if we’d been doing for many years. For anyone who plays tennis, they know… there’s no greater feeling that hitting a VERY HARD and FAST serve that seems un-returnable. We were both doing some of that yesterday. Just talking about playing makes me want to go out again today but truth be told, I’m a little sore.

The worst part about playing yesterday was that we played in the afternoon and the tennis courts were SLAMMED with kids and people. We’ve mostly been playing in the late evening when there’s not too many players there. It was a big eye opener that the place is really a ZOO in the daylight. If I could, I’d join a tennis club but right now hockey is enough.

Speaking of hockey..the new season starts this Sunday. I need to get my skates sharpened. It just feels good to be staying somewhat active. I need to keep this stuff up. I’ve been thinking about going to a gym as well…but right now it’s JUST a thought

Ok…So 2 journal entries in the same day? I must be real bored with too much time on my hands huh? Well…Not really.

It’s turning out to be a nice day…Well..The day is just about over and now the evening is starting. I’m waiting for my Microwavable Pizza to cool down and trying to think of something interesting to say.

I’ve been watching on DVD a series called “The 4400“….Just finished season 1 last night. I really love it! It’s about 4400 people who’ve vanished throughout the years…And then one day..They all suddenly reappear but with special powers…Yeah, i know it’s very X-men-ish mixed with the X-Files…But its X-actly what I like Anyway…It’s worth checking out.

alright…Looks like the pizza is cool enough to eat now.

As the subject says…Happy Easter! It doesn’t get any easier than that.

So far, it’s starting out to be a very nice one for me. As on most holidays, I usually get to talk to family and say my “hello’s” and “how are ya’s?”
In the middle the afternoon, I got a nice call from Cousins Bob & Peggy Gentry up in northern California. We talked for a little while and they mentioned about spending their Easter at the Indian casino close to where they live. As the word “Casino” was said, I started drooling just thinking about those slot machines in Vegas. They also made a comment about the blog and saying they really enjoy the ones that have photos…and so, here’s a photo that I don’t think I’ve posted yet[I could be wrong though, I'm starting to forget what I have and haven't posted]. Regardless…here’s a scruffy and fuzzy shot taken a few weeks back.

I also spoke with my mother, sister, niece, and still have a few more calls to make. My sister’s cooking and Easter meal for my mother back in Michigan. I imagine they’re all sitting down to eat at this very moment. By the way, my sister’s a very good cook …as is my mother–but whose mother’s isn’t a good cook right? Perhaps I’ll make a trip back to Michigan in the summer? I guess it all depends on things going on here but it’d be nice to see everyone again.

The last few days, I’ve received the most email I’ve ever received regarding the blog. The subject matter seems to be touching people in certain ways…I’m actually quite surprised at how my own story sparks people to think about their own family ties and un-ties.

These last few days have been a mix of “You’ve Got Mail” and “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” .

My day’s been pretty quiet for the most part. I’ve been having some very interesting exchanges of emails with a gal who doesn’t know who I am…I mean, she knows me by my middle name. I’ll explain more later but it’s all very cloak and dagger.

More to report soon …For now I found something funny that I’ll leave you with. Regardless of who you voted for, …I think even Bush supporters can see the humor in this.
