This isn’t going to be much of a post but let me say Happy Valentine’s Day to you all.

Ok, i watched the TiVo of the Grammys last night after the glorious hockey game

I enjoyed Loretta Lynn…She was fun to watch and I’m glad she won.
The main thing i realized after watching the award show is that…i REALLY have NO CLUE what’s HIP and popular. I hardly knew any of the performers and in all honesty…i fast forwarded through most of it.

J-Lo singing in Spanish and completely FLAT made me CRINGE for the 5 minutes she was on stage. Sorry J-Lo, we all have our off-nights singing but that performance??? There’s no easy or nice way to say this…But that just SUCKED ASS! Perhaps she was nervous or the monitors were not feeding her enough of the music so perhaps she had a hard time hearing. It could actually be a number of things…It just hurt to listen to though.

I know I shouldn’t be going on and on about the negatives about the show but if you want to hear a Beatle song butchered, here’s the link:

I know the intentions are good and the money goes for helping the Tsunami people but if they really wanted to help those people, Yoko and the remaining Beatles need to donate the REAL version of the song. Now THAT would be a REAL help….Or how about it be a requirement for each person singing in that performance to donate some of their own $$$. Who’s to say they haven’t…Truth is…i don’t know so i shouldn’t be dogging it. It just seems so pompous to me how they plugged it as these artists were doing us all such a HUGE favor by doing a mediocre live recording and expecting me to buy it.

Three good things about the show…
1. Nice to see Brian Wilson.
2. I sort of liked that Los Lonely Boys song–my 1st time hearing it.
3. Melissa rocked the house with Joplin
