Everything Old is New Again
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005This post probably won’t make sense to anyone who doesn’t have iTunes installed …Well…at least this first part.
In my iTune-Library of music, the K.D. Lang song “Simple” has now made it to the number 1 spot. Here’s my top ten for the moment–and not that i think these are top ten favorite songs ever..They just happen to be the ones I’ve been listening to the most these last few months. On to the list:
1. Simple-KD Lang (67 plays)
2. And So It Goes- Billy Joel (66 Plays) [One of my favorite songs]
3. Doctor My Eyes- Jackson Browne (63 Plays)
4. Come What May- Ewan McGregor & Nicole Kidman (60 Plays)
5. Behind Closed Doors- Charlie Rich (57 Plays)
6. She- Elvis Costello (54 plays)
7. Blue- The Jayhawks (44 Plays)
8. Daddies Eyes- James Lee Stanley (41 Plays)
9. For No One- The Beatles (40 Plays) [Not my favorite Beatle song, just happens to be one I've been listening to quite a bit]
10. Both Sides Now- Judy Collins (39 Plays)
Hmmm…I’ll see what difference a month makes and post again
No, i don’t listen to my own songs. Well, i mean…i do…Only after 1st writing something. Usually i would have listened to one of my own tunes 100 times before it’s actually recorded and then WHILE recording it’s easy to get tired of the track. It all depends on the track too
What i like to do is to revisit an old recording and see if it’s good or bad. I recently popped in the old blue Moisture CD and I’ve really been enjoying cranking the songs “Black and White” as well as “Ready to Die”. Of course these are tracks best saved for driving 99 Miles per hour down the 405 freeway
I guess this is enough thought for today
