Lessons in “Disney”
Wednesday, December 1st, 2004My laugh for the day
Just read your journal from last night… ain’t it the truth!… HERE,
it’s getting down into the high 30’s and low 40’s at night, but during
the DAY, people up here are bundled up like it was the arctic, and I
moved here from Colorado where the winter temps often got down below
zero with wind chill in the -40 to -70 degree range…California pussies!
I think I have it all figured out…It’s not that people here feel they need to wear these winter coats because they are actually cold…But more because it’s a fashion statement. It’s all about the clothes here …And me? It’s all about my cleanest dirty clothes
Well the movie I watched last night called Hero was just “ok”. It had a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon smell to it and whether or not you like that aroma determines whether you will like this movie. Visually, it was rather stunning. The story? ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz….Typical for an old kung-fu flick. Rent Spiderman 2 instead and you’ll be happier.
I talked to my mother on the phone today for a bit… I’m looking forward to my sister and mother’s visit. I’ll probably take them to Universal Studios–I enjoy going there myself and it’s been a while since my last visit. ANYTHING BUT DISNEYLAND!
Speaking of Disney…Not too long ago I was at Florida’s Disney World. People who’ve been to both parks always say that the Florida one is better. After being at the one here in Orange County at LEAST 60 times in my life and being able to walk the park blindfolded, I’d have to say that the California one BLOWS the Florida Magic Kingdom out of the water. What Florida does have going for it, is that they have other Mouse-Owned attractions all right in the same area–of course you have to pay to enter each
But seriously….Anaheim Disney Land is FAR ABOVE Florida Disney World. [spoken from a Disney Expert]
The only really nice thing about Disney is at Christmas they really go all out…It’s real nice for the kids.
