Tonight will begin a whole new chapter in my journal. Since most people have been commenting and wanting more video things like “the apartment tour” …I’m going to start a new segment called “VIDEO DIARIES”…KKKKKRAZY huh?

The plan is to venture out once a week and do a little QuickTime video diary…And tonight’s will be Halloween at the West Hollywood parade. I’ll be interviewing people in crazy costumes and the onlookers there for reaction (as well as adding my own little silliness). I’m SUPER excited about this. It takes online-journaling to a whole new level. As an added BONUS….I’ll be including these video diaries as part of the 3D CD-DVD 2 Disc Set titled “Sunset Blvd“:) It’ll be a Starving Artist’s Adventure in Hollywood.

And so…What better night to start this on than “Halloween 2004″??? I’ll be posting tonight’s adventure as soon as it’s worthy as seeing.

Hmmm…I think last night was Detroit’s Devil’s Night. If I’m not mistaken, 2 days before Halloween is what Michiganders call Devil’s Night…AKA: let’s set the city on fire and throw rotten eggs at people’s houses, cars…Etc…

I guess Michigan is the only state to have this? I think the fires have not been as bad the last few years. Detroiters have been really cracking down on it. I remember one year living in MI there were something like 30 fires all in one night. I just don’t get it. What makes people set their own city on fire? And all in the name of? STOOOOOPIDITY!

I spent today doing just about everything but what I should have been doing. When I figure out what I should be doing I’ll be sure to do that :-]

Tomorrow’s “trick and treat” night… I’m going to dress up like a computer geek. Glasses on.

Well..The only bad thing about going up in rank is ….It’s inevitable that what goes up must come down :-\ Damn, I guess when that starts happening I’ll have to pull out the big guns with steamy sex stories of Hollywood gossip lol…Well..Maybe not It’s not like I have that much to tell [cough-bullshit-cough]…Or maybe I do? Who’s Joan Collins’ publisher again? Kidding!

I’m really starting to settle into the new place. The best thing about the place is being able to make noise at night. It’s not as though I’m loud person as it is…But the last few places I lived seemed like the walls were paper thin and I was always worried I’d be bothering someone by playing music. Who would have thought I’d be such a considerate neighbor?

Only a few more days until Halloween. It’s my favorite time of year and by far my favorite holiday. I’ve always had the best memories of every October 31st from the past. That crazy smell of bubblegum in the air mixed with the taste of fun costumes…You just can’t beat it. Hell, I’d go as far to say that people are more giving on Halloween than Christmas.

No, I won’t be dressing up this year…But I’ll be on Santa Monica Blvd when they close off the street. Watching everyone else dressed up is just as fun. Of course, I could always just wear my hockey outfit…naw. We’ll see.

Well, went to go vote today…There’s a place in Beverly Hills where we can vote early. Man, it was PACKED! Took about an hour…I have a feeling November 2nd is going to be a mad house. Glad to get that out of the way though…Don’t let long lines this year stop you from voting. I’d stand in line for a week if it meant to help get Bush out of office. I’m so embarrassed to have him as president.

I voted using the Touch Screens….There were a few people I wanted to shoot who couldn’t understand the whole concept of “touch the screen and hit NEXT”—I bet they were voting for Bush too

After…Went to the old apartment to pick up a few things- All that’s left over there is some clothes and my kitchen stuff. I figure one or 2 more little painless trips should do it.

I came back to the new place and waved to Eriq La Salle …Also spoke with a nice gal named Jasmine about the parking situation here. We can use the lots to park in just about anytime..But since they’re in production with a new film until Nov. 3rd, I have to do street parking for now.

I JUST walked in the door from Fed-X where I picked up the 3-fucking-D CD/DVD cover! It’s soooooo damn cool! It’s the same picture from a few journal entries ago..Only in THREE-FUCKING-DEE!! You’ll have you use your imagination to picture it…But let’s just say, I just about CAME IN MY PANTS when I saw ‘em!!! I’m hoping everyone else has the same reaction LOL

I have to drive my friend Mark to the Burbank Airport at 5pm today. Rides to the airport are not fun but the company on the way there should be.

Well… I need to shower.

Yesterday, I sent out a little “E-mailer” to the folks on the mailing list and in my address book. What’s fun about that is…Most people hit reply-usually touching base. Well…One of the replies was from a good friend Jamee who reminded me of a show that Moisture played a few years ago all dressed up like KISS. That brought back some fun thoughts [I was Paul Stanley, by the way]…What musician/band hasn’t dressed up like KISS at one time or another? lol

Another reply, was from Sally Kirkland telling me that she’s starring in a new movie called “Scarlet and Sabrina”…Sally’s also one of the producers of the film and asked about getting some of my music in the film. I’m all for it!

Speaking of people in films…. I was watching something called Cinderella Story the other night on DVD (ok, this is not an Oscar winning film but there was nothing else to rent) and I was pleasantly surprised to see friend Eric Gorfain do a little cameo playing violin in one of the scenes. Eric’s a great musician and so far, he’s produced “The Easy Way”, “Don’t Touch Me”..and “Goldie 2004″…he also did some GREAT string arrangements on “Don’t Touch Me“. If you get a chance check out his group “The Section“.

On a blast from the past side note…Today I got an email from Classmates.com (as we always get those things telling us when new people sign up…Etc.) but today’s was different. It was a message telling me that I had a message from someone I went to school with. And so I went on and hit the reply….Always nice to hear from people I went to school with. “Hey Tom, email me here so I we don’t have to PAY Classmates.com to say hello to each other ;)”

Well…I should get some work done. It’s been raining the last few days and the sound of it just makes me want to nap :] Time to open a 6 pack of Mt. Dew

Well…Here’s one of the ideas for the new CD/DVD cover. Keep in mind that this will be in 3D. Coming up with a title is never easy….I thought about things like “Intersection”…”Walk”…”Green Light”..”Cross Walk”…”Midnight Playground”…But then the more I thought about it and looked at the photo..The more I like the idea of letting the “Sunset Blvd.” sign be the title. I mean…The word “sunset” itself gives about a million visuals…And being a night person, living on Sunset…Well..You get the idea. [Please hold back all the "I'm ready for my close-up" jokes]



I DO like the concept of things changing when the sun goes down. I’ve heard the expression “It’s a nice place but don’t go there at night”… We’ve all heard that being said about one area at one time or another in our life. That goes the other way around too…Like if something/some place is boring in the day and comes alive when the sun goes down–sort of like me With the 1st few songs and videos recorded for this CD/DVD…It is a little bit of a change. But I promise it’ll still be safe to play at night

Well… Looks like it’s going to rain here in LA. Last year it rained on Halloween…I hope it’s dry this year for us all and no saltwater clouds.

Hey…I have been characterized! How cool! Thanks to Mike in Northern California for getting this made and sending it to me. Very cool to see what I would probably look like if I were made into some sort of Saturday morning cartoon. But what would my super power be? I’m not sure…But I know my Lex Luthor would be someone out to shave the two little patches of hair off my chin :-]

Hockey was fun last night..I was worried one of the guys from the opposing team was going to make a wishbone out of my hurt rib. Thankfully the Make a Wish Foundation has not been asking for bones from my body…Yet… And I survived the game. Little bit of pain here and there…But hey..It IS hockey right?

Speaking of bones…The new Dawn of the Dead DVD gets released tomorrow Nothin’ like a flesh eating zombie to put me in a good mood. Tis the season ay?

Well…I just spent about 15 minutes writing down a journal entry to post…Only to have it VANISH. [Grunt!!! GROAN!!]

It’s not as though I had anything too important to say but I am annoyed! Lesson learned? “Save before posting” :-[

I’m playing hockey tonight so I’ll take my frustrations out on the ice. Speaking of ice..Or rather snow. I was asked to perform at something called “SkiDazzle 2004” at the Los Angeles Convention Center. I’m told the show date is December 2-4, 2004 and Dan the fellow who emailed me about this says:

“If you’ve ever been to SkiDazzle you know that some 150,000 people file through there during the four day event.”

I’ve never been but this sounds interesting…More to come.

well…I’m going to be late for the game if I don’t get going soon. I also need to have an “emailer” sent out to the folks on the mailing list tomorrow.

I’m not sure people realize JUST HOW MUCH stuff you have until you start moving it. I really don’t have too much compared to most people and after today’s few trips back and fourth..I’m wiped out! So much so that I haven’t had time to reply to the emails I wanted to today … [and so if you email me and I haven't written you back yet, it's because I'm lost in "move" mode].

I went to Home Depot today and picked up a 12X9 blue/green rug…Yeah, I know..What’s the point of having hard wood floors if you just put a rug over it? But!!! Living right on Sunset Blvd, I hear traffic noise outside and the rug really deadens the sound. Going to Home Depot makes me want to build my own house… …hmm…Now that I think about that…that sounds like WORK. Scratch that!

Now that I know that folks actually enjoy the journal..I’ll be sure to add more video and fun stuff to come The internet is truly amazing…I’m so glad Al Gore invented it Happy Saturday!

…of course…It’s empty. But it’ll give you guys a look into where I’ll be living for the next year (at least). Not the biggest place…But damn if those big gates on the outside aren’t COOL! [Thanks to Val for doing the camera work].

I have the Cable person coming tomorrow…So I have to be home(the new home) from 1pm to 5pm so I can be hooked into the Matrix at high speed. Oh..By the way..Without a high speed connection this QuickTime file will take the whole night to download. I recommend if you’re on 56k and REALLY NEED to see my bathroom and new wood floors… click this to see the new pad.
