Well, I went for the MRI today. Took about an hour. Those MRI tubes are loud and somewhat claustrophobic. So they shot my vein with dye and took quite a few shots of my brain and showed me exactly what it is that I’m dealing with. Here’s a couple cell phone shots.

Seeing it going into my spinal chord explains why I feel like I do (with parts of my body going numb and not being able to see…etc…). 

To be honest, I really don’t know what this part of the brain controls. I just know how I feel and it’s nice to know that I’m not going crazy. All I know is…I WANT THIS SHIT OUT OF MY HEAD AND I WANT TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN. Brain Surgery Please?!?!?

I’m not scheduled to see the neurologist again until December 1st but I called today trying to get in sooner. No one was there. Hopefully I’ll know more Monday.

Sure, I’m a little freaked out but there’s not really much I can do. Oh, I did go to physical therapy today. I got a nice neck rub out of it… that’s about it.

Tomorrow is the Viper Room show. I wobbled my way through a 40 minute rehearsal last night and If I’m able to do that again tomorrow I should be fine on stage. It should be interesting.

My friend Jeff is in town from Detroit… I’m glad he’s here. He’s been a big help driving me around and the company comes at a good time.

Ok…tired. Need to relax and try and recharge for the long day tomorrow.

Now the folks here in CA just need to stay up late to hear how the Props go.

I have a “Blog Birthday” coming up on October 10th. It makes 4 years of writing things that make me look and sound silly. I was actually blogging since 2002 on LiveJournal.com but decided I should add the journal to my website to try and get more traffic. And almost a million hits later, I guess it worked. Thanks to anyone who checks in to the blog!!!

So last week, my mother and sister came here and we did some of the tourist things like Universal Studios and that sort of Hollywood Stuff.

My mom’s always taking pictures and my sister and I have that look of “come on, let’s hurry up and take the picture and get it over with“. I see my mom with her camera and I usually run We ran into Jay Leno doing his Jay Walking bit but I avoided being asked questions. I did think about going on and giving the most stupidest answers to try to get on TV but think I’ll stick to trying to get on TV other ways.

I’m pretty sure they don’t put you on if you get the answers correct… who knows, maybe next time.

It was a fun trip and the weather perfect. I suppose next time, I’ll be the one making a trip back to Detroit.

Saturday November 22nd at The Viper Room

So, yeah…I’m booked next month on the Sunset Strip again. I’m hoping the 22nd will be a good night since it’s the weekend before Thanksgiving. Anything after eats into Holiday Nightmares. 

Wow, this means I actually have to send out an email to my mailing list…how shocking! Now if I can just remember how to do that. 

We hit the stage at 9pm sharp so to those who are usually “fashionably late” I must remember to tell them 8pm instead

I caught a fish this big!

So I was sent a few photos of me from a pool party I went to not that long ago(thanks Anne!). Be warned…the next photo might blind people…Yes, I know…. I’m pretty white.

There’s more photos but this is all I’m willing to share. So now that I showed some skin, everyone go to iTunes and buy some of my mp3’s… isn’t that how this works???

Baby Got Back

…Only, the boob is on his BACK. He had a pretty high fever the other day when I woke up. His tongue was on fire when he would lick me and he wasn’t wanting to eat. I ended up taking him to the vet and they did some blood-work on him to make sure it wasn’t anything too serious. Turns out it’s just a puppy flu of some sort so he’s on antibiotics.

Back to the “boob”… so because his fever was so high they shot some sort of cold liquid into the back of his neck. I’m really not sure what the liquid was but after a few hours of it absorbing into his body, his fever finally broke.  He looked like a little hunchback and I felt really bad for him but this seemed to work.

I think I was more freaked out when he came out of he vet’s office than he was. Seeing this giant bubble on his back was NOT something I expected.

Off subject, I finally got around to upgrading to the latest Wordpress for the journal. I’m still figuring it out. It changed some things and messed with the “categories” …i’ll have to figure it out later. I like the upgrade, it’s just different and will take some getting used to.
