Well, I’m happy that Summer has arrived. Now that I think about it, I guess every day is Summer in Southern California compared to the weather I grew up with in Michigan.
My dog’s leg is healing much faster than I expected. I’m thankful. I still have to take him to the vet again next month for another xray. I think our frisbee days are over. He doesn’t know this though.
Last weekend, I took a motorcycle safety course and passed that. It was like Motorcycle Boot Camp..pretty intense but fun as hell! By passing the class, I no longer have to take the road test at the DMV.. just the written. I’m just waiting for my certificate to come in the mail to make my DMV appointment. Shopping for a bike comes next. I have NO IDEA what to get.
Sadly, I have a birthday coming up in July… Birthdays depress the hell out of me. I think the motorcycle will make a nice gift to myself though =)
Still writing music… Thinking about putting a show together in the next few months. More to come on that.
I’ll be flying back to Michigan in August for a week. Will be good to see old friends and family (as always).
Been spending much of my online time on Facebook and Twitter these days. It’s not too often I’m on a real computer but it’s easy and handy to check in with online life with my Palm Pre phone.–the new phone ROCKS btw!

I know, it’s been ages since I’ve blogged. I’m alive and all is well.
Had some dog troubles a few weeks ago. My little guy broke his back leg and set me back almost 5 Grand in vet bills. He’s on the mend and worth every penny but it just makes me concerned about the animal owners out there who don’t have money for animal medical bills (I was lucky to have had some savings).
Down the road I’d like to do some benefit concerts for some sort of charity that can help others out with this sort of thing.
Meanwhile, I’m getting geared up for the completion on the new CD. Only a few more tracks to go-then it’s Mix and Mastering time. In light of the new CD, I need to get my website updated and revamped. The site might be down for a little while but it’ll return(hopefully all sparkly and new).

Much has been happening since my last update and I keep thinking that I’ll get around to updating the journal and then…well…uh… OK, I don’t have any good excuse.
Health stuff?
I’m still alive. Last I left off was that I failed my pre-exam due to high white cell count. Turns out I had an infection in my tooth. I ended up getting a root canal and taking antibiotics. I go in a couple weeks to get the crown for the tooth. After all this is done I need to go back to the doctor and get another MRI to see if anything has changed in my head.
ALL of my crazy symptoms I had are now GONE so maybe something in my brain has changed. Who knows. All I know is that it’s hard for me to willingly go in and have my skull opened up when I feel fine and dandy. It all depends on what the new MRI shows and what the doctor tells me.
Meanwhile, I’ve been getting on with life again and trying not to let any Arachnoid consume me.
Music stuff?
Today, we went in the recording studio and tracked 2 more songs. I’m a little fried at the moment and not really in the mood to be a clever writer but I wanted to write something…otherwise it’d be another few days before I got around to it.
Also, I’ve developed an addiction to an online game called City of Heroes. It’s to the point where I actually dream about the game. I’m a little embarrassed about this but GAWD DAMN the game is fun =)
I’ve also been spending time on facebook… I see that the rest of the world has been doing this too. I had an account for a few years and then suddenly it seemed like everyone and their mother is now a member. I’m not so addicted to that but I do usually update my status via Twitter or my cell phone.
Speaking of cell phones… Palm has a new Treo coming out called the “Pre”. IT WILL BE MINE SOON! MINE! MINE! 
Ok…this is a pointless blog entry but it needs to be done. Alright, now the dog needs some attention.
Last night’s show went VERY WELL! Thanks to everyone who showed up and helped make the night a blast!
So yeah… the club was filled to capacity and the sound system there was AMAZING! I’m grateful! Sold lotza CDs and t-shirts and out-sold all the other groups who performed that night… couldn’t ask for anything more!

I was especially happy that my old band-mates from Xmas past showed up to give support and my friend Ruchelle came in from Vegas to do a couple songs with me. Oh, and I can’t forget my friend Jeff who flew in from Detroit who was a MAJOR help.
My band guys rocked(Carl, Kevin, and Perry) …especially since we didn’t get many rehearsals in before the gig due to my “illness”. This show, I had a “stylist” who helped me out with some cool clothes and a super snazzy jacket (thanks Adam!)–I want to keep the jacket! 
When it comes to dressing “cool”, I wasn’t born with that gene so I asked for help.
Speaking of “style”… we had super famous Bob Mackie and Ray Aghayan in the audience. I’m glad they came.
Tomorrow night is the Viper Room show!!
It’s not too late to order tickets online.
I went to rehearsal last night feeling a little foggy still but I actually think I’m going to live through the show! COOL!
Off subject… I go for my MRI today at 11am and then physical therapy tonight at 6pm.

I’m SO fried at the moment but I’ve managed to take the time to make a reverb nation page for facebook.
It’s damn hard keeping up with all this web stuff. MySpace, Blogging, Twitter, Reverbnation, Facebook…it goes on and on. It’s all fun but it’s almost a full-time job just dealing with the web aspect of shameful promotions online.

It’s been a busy week. I spent part of last week plugging the upcoming Viper Room show on Nov 22nd and I’m sure I’ll be doing more of that until the show date. I’m supposed to be doing a few radio shows and podcast interviews. Those are always fun.
I’ve missed performing. Being on stage when things are going well is the best High you can get.
It’s been a little tricky to get the ball rolling again after “taking a break” but I’m starting to feel good again. It seems like the last few years has been one roadblock after another. I know much of it is my own fault but for now I feel like I’m back in control and able to actually get stuff done.
I’ve been writing like crazy these last few weeks as well… mostly bits and pieces but that’s how it usually begins (for me). I even started to write a rock opera musical. LOL
Honestly, I have NO IDEA what I’m doing with this musical but what better way to learn than to just do it. I really need a female vocalist to come over and sit with me to work out key changes and all that to really get a good idea of the range and sound. At the moment, I’m trying to figure out how to write the female parts rather than just have them sing an octive higher than what’s written. So basically, I need to get the correct keys that fit songs without having to transpose when the male or female vocals come in…it’s trickier than it sounds and a little hard to explain. Needless to say…i’m writing.
Still working on new songs for the CD as well… I have one that’s not recorded just yet but I think it’s a “rocker” and hooky. We’ll be playing it at the upcoming show to see how it’s received live.

Wow, this means I actually have to send out an email to my mailing list…how shocking! Now if I can just remember how to do that.
We hit the stage at 9pm sharp so to those who are usually “fashionably late” I must remember to tell them 8pm instead

Next week, my mother and sister are coming here for a visit. I’m excited! I pick ‘em up from LAX this Thursday.
I don’t have that much planned while they’re in town but I’ll probably take them to Universal Studios or something like that. They’ve both been out here in the past so they’ve already done most of the touristy stuff and don’t really need to do too much more of that.
Hopefully, our weather will still be sunny and warm. Seems like in the past when they came, the weather was gloomy while they were here and the second they left the sun came back out. Hmm.
It’s been a lazy Saturday so far… Perfect!
Tomorrow night and Monday I’ll be playing hockey games. I love to play but those late night games are a killer.
I’m working on putting a show together sometime in early November…more to come on that soon. Looking forward to performing again. I’ve been feeling pretty good again about doing music and getting back out there.
I was playing through some of the older songs the other day and a little nervous that I might have forgotten the notes. Suddenly I realized my fingers went on “autopilot”…and then the second I started to think about it, I started screwing it up. Figures.
