October Thoughts
I don’t have any Halloween plans this year other than sitting home and passing out candy to the kids but I still love this time of year. October has always been one of my favorite months.
This time of year brings in the new Fall TV lineup. I’ve been watching The Bionic Woman, Heroes, and (of course) Smallville. All three have been sort of a let down but I’ll still watch with the hopes they’ll all get better. I also have the DVR set to record a new show called “Pushing Daisies”… I like it….it’s silly enough for me to enjoy. I had high hopes for that Journeyman show but I’m about to give up on it. The show is SUCH a rip off of Quantum Leap only not as well put together and nowhere near as entertaining.
I never used to watch much TV (other than DVD rentals) but the DVR has sort of made shows easier to catch. It’s also nice to fast forward through the commercials. I’m spoiled now though with HD channels and have a hard time now watching non-HD stuff.
My favorite HD show is The Tonight Show only because you can really see how bad some of the guests look in high resolution =)
Let’s see… next week I need to start getting back to regular rehearsals and back in the studio to finish recording this CD. I’ve got some new songs I want to try out. Not sure if the tunes are any good but we shall see. Need to get moving on this stuff though.
Is “Two and a Half Men” going to be on again this year? It’s a cute show…I think it’s one of the few really good “sit coms” left on the air… seems everything else is reality television.
I’ve never seen that show. The title alone makes me want to avoid it

“Chuck” looks like a good one. At lest the 1st two weeks have been.

i think i have 2 other shows i watch that’s on the same time as Chuck. I’ll try to catch a repeat of it though.

Chuck is good. Journeyman is ok (I liked the main actor guy from his role in Rome) Dirty, Sexy, Money is by far the best. Whomever is filming Survivor(SP?) this season is on drugs. CSI LV is good….and that’s my two cents on television this season. It’s driving me to listen to talk radio! lol
What happened to the Apprentice? is it gone now?
You think heroes is a let down this year so far, i think its way better than last season already, mainly cause its jumping right into everything instead of having to explain it. by the way…i’m one of your fans from the east coast…come do some shows in Pittsburgh sometime.

yeah…I still like Heroes but i’m a little let down that everyone is separated again….that, and the guy & girl with the bleeding eye power(AKA the Wonder Twins). I’m sure it’ll get better though

I know what you mean. I got a 65 inch Mitsubishi HD TV. I am in heaven. And I got DirecTv HD with 70 channels. And suposed to be over 100 by the new year.
Somehing about HD that makes scenes look like they were filmed in 3D. I love watching HD TV.
Ok no one laugh , but one program I watch early in the morning when it is on, is I think called , ” Sunries Earth “. I isjust sme beatifl spot the planet at sunrise in HD. It is just a beautifulspot on planet earth at sunrise in HD.
With all the high tech ,frantic pce f life ,it centers and calms me to have that on while I work on my computer early in the mornig. I have even been angry at things ,and after that show I am relaxed.
Well back to USC vs Oregon in college football.
