Reality TV Blizzard
Yowzers! It’s boiling hot here today and my AC is cranking on High. I suppose I’d much rather have it super hot than freezing. I’m such a wimp when it comes to cold weather these days. I must admit, I do miss a good snowball fight but slush and ice are things that I’m happy to do without.
It’s somewhat bizarre living in a warm weather climate all year. I’m still not used to Christmas lights on palm trees and walking around in shorts in the Winter. What’s even more strange is that some folks here have never touched snow before.
I recall about 2 years after i moved to CA, I went with some friends to Big Bear to go skiing. As we were driving up the mountain to get to the snow, we saw people pulled over on the side of the road who wanted to get out of their cars and touch the snow. It was a strange sight.
Off subject… I was watching “So You Think You Can Dance” last night..it was the season finale (yes, i like the show and all its silliness–especially the judge who screams at the top of her lungs… Mary Murphy. She cracks me up). Anyway…the finale was OK (even though the winner wasn’t someone i was routing for) but i was extremely let down by that silly Jib Lab cartoon. I guess I’m just not cool enough to get the humor. They pumped it that the host and Nigel were going to dance together and the end result was getting to see the pointless cartoon. Pfftt!
Let’s see…another show I’ve been hooked on is Top Chef. I LOVE this show but I find myself starving as I’m watching it. There certainly are a ton of Reality Shows out there now…hard to keep up with them even with a DVR.
I think if i had to vote for THE WORST Reality Show going today…My vote goes to “Scott Bao is 45 and Single” … what a piece of crap this show is. It’s so bad that it’s worth watching once just to see how god-awful it truly is. You might have to rinse your eyes out with mouthwash though after one viewing. Sorry “Chachi”
There’s such a thing as good reality TV?
I saw the Chachi show a couple weeks ago. I share your opinion.. It’s right up (down?) there with Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge.

LOL! I saw the bull riding challenge the other night for the 1st time….it was like watching a car wreck …hard to turn away from.
Let’s see. Reality TV lately for me has consisted of “Gene Simmons, Family Jewels” which I love and DVR all the new episodes so I don’t miss a single one, the Two Corey’s, which amuses the hell out of me that Haim is so freaking tactless that he just doesn’t get that women are repulsed by his behavior. I can’t believe that he is so oblivious to stuff. And Feldman . . . his wife has made him so anal retentive it is nice to see Haim helping him loosen up. I watched Scott Baio is turning 40 once. I was revolted and thought “God, he deserves to be alone.” Chinese water torture . . . that show is.
Otherwise, I haven’t seen much reality television. And I’m not sure those two classify.
Speaking of The Two Coreys…my drummer is supposed to be on the next episode…at least that’s what he’s told. I like the Gene Simmons one too.. Kathy Griffin’s show cracks me up too. Her last season was a great one.
The DVR is set. Just tell me who I’m looking for and I’ll wave at my screen. (I’m such a dork. :)_)

yeah…i need my own reality show…too bad i don;t have enough excitement in my life for that..at least not right now

I love it! Make sure if you watch no other episode to at least see the one where they go camping. Snakes, bears, and Gene Simmons best quote, “I like pockets.” Cracks me up!

:shock:I’ve been watching Laguna Beach and The Hills. I’m like addicted now. Especially The Hills. Normally I don’t watch reality tv but I got sick of watching the same old reruns one night and switched to MTV. My life hasn’t been the same since:lol:.
i watched The Hills for the 1st time last night…it sems slimy enough that i might actually enjoy it. Funny that all that stuff is right down the street from me…when they showed those apartment building they live in…i knew where they were…weirdness
