Going for Green.
Thanks to those who’ve purchased the new T-Shirt…I’ll be "begging for sales" later on but for now I just wanted to thank anyone who has placed an order.
I’m cranky today….and for no reason. Could be that I’m just tired and not quite awake yet.
My Diet is still going well…when I stepped on the scale yesterday it said I lost 13 pounds. That’s not bad considering I only started this on the 12th of April. It’s funny cause I now eat the EXACT SAME THING every day and some days I’ll fluctuate and be like 1 pound heavier or lighter. I look down and still see my belly so I have no clue WHERE I lost the weight from…but I suppose the scale doesn’t lie. My pants DO feel looser though.
Now that I’m counting calories, I’m really amazed at what my calorie intake used to be. I average about 1200 Calories a day now(which I’m told is real low) but looking back on my old eating habits…7 or 8 cans of Mt Dew…a bag of chips here and there, other sweets, heavy pastas for lunch with all the garlic bread I could eat…on top of some sort of greasy dinner along with fast food garbage…I’m willing to bet my old daily intake was AT LEAST 5000 Calories a day. THAT on top of sitting on my ass all day was a fattening combo.
Hopefully, once I get to my desired weight…I’ll have trained myself to keep in mind the calorie count of foods and decide then if something is really worth eating.
I know…a few of you have emailed me saying things like…"you don’t need to lose weight, you look thin in your photos"…well…uh…let’s just say I would never post a picture of me looking too heavy but the reality is…I really am overweight-Not too much, but I am. Sure, some of it’s muscle and I’m 6′2 so it just looks like I’m slimmer than what I really am but when I started this diet on the 12th…I was 212lbs!!!

Black Dot: Where I was on the 12th of April. (212lbs)
Red Dot: Where I am Today. (199lbs)
Blue Dot: Where I want to be. (180lbs)
(What I want to know is …Who in the hell is 6′2 and 130 lbs?? That doesn’t seem "healthy" at all unless they live on the Moon or something).
Anyway…It looks like the weight is coming off so I’m happy about that. Yeah, I know I’m obsessive over this at the moment…but I think I need to be. Thankfully, Summer is coming up so I’ll get a chance to be more active.

I’ve seen that sort of chart before. They really need to have a chart that factors *Age* and *Sex* into it. That has much to do with it as well.
For a guy, being 200lbs seems healthy to me. You might look too thin at 180 Bob.
I’m all for anything that factors sex into it

In all seriousness, if you find a chart that does factor those things, I’d love to see. I’m almost to the green…I’m real close
You also need a chart that factors gravitational attraction into it… on the moon you’d only weight 32 pounds. At sea level, you weigh more than you would in Denver. Reduced gravity can be very freeing… ask Steve Hawking…
i feel like the Death Star with my gravity pull
Congrats on the weight loss Bob! Its not only about looking and feeling good, its also about limiting the risks for those serious illnesses later in life
Thanks Mr. Haddock!
I’m just missing those days of being able to eat anything i wanted at any time of night and remain 155lbs …ah those were the day. My Crash Diet probably isn’t the healthiest but i’ll level out real soon
Congrats on the weight loss…but you’re right, 1200 calories a day is far too few for any adult male. That’s the *minimum* suggested for an adult female. Men’s minimums fall between 1500-1800… (which is why I hate men.

(Long time lurker, first time commenter…)
yeah…that’s what i’m told…i’m just trying to stay near 1200. I do go over though…some things i forget to add in -like sunflower seeds and i might put a little more dressing on my salad than i’m supposed to…i never measure that out..i just guess
I’ll start eating more than just salads and soup once i get in the “green” but as of today..i lost another pound…i’m now 198.0. It’s coming off REAL fast…i’m actually sort of shocked (but it’s still hard work). I’ve just started eating popcorn at night.
Thanks for the comment!!! I’ll blogroll you and pop over and say “hey” real soon!!
