When: Saturday, January 27, 2007
What: Fundraising concert even to save the Canadian Baby Harp Seals featuring performances by Platinum selling rock band Great White (the first show of their 25th Anniversary Reunion Tour) with special guests Jak Paris and award winning singer/songwriter Bob Gentry. Special appearance by Scarlett Pomers star from TV’s "Reba" show. Silent Auctions, Giveaways and more.

I just checked out your blog…i’ve been hearing SO much about Dexter but I’ve yet to see it..after seeingyout journal it makes me realize i’m really missing out!
I’ve had a few people ask me about Last.FM and If i’ll be putting up music there. I checked out the site and i’m not sure I understand it but it looks like a good promotional tool…is it just a file sharing music site of some sort that tracks who listens to what? Does it actually pay artists or are we supposed to be giving away free downloads in exchange for exposure?

Not sure how it works from the musician’s side, but for me it tracks my listening. You can check mine out by clicking on it on my blog . . . I think it’s under or over your pic, and it shows all the stats on what my son and I listen to on our ipods. Notice . . . you are number two.

As for Last.FM. It’s not a file sharing site by any means. It is an online radio community. Basically just like any other ‘community’ site (myspace, etc…) but geared for music.
What it does is track what music you listen to on your computer or ipod or whatever, and builds a personalized radio station for you based on past listening. So you are not able to just say “hey.. i feel like hearing ‘the bends’ from radiohead,” but you could listen to a radio station that plays similar music. Tag tracks you love, ban tracks you hate and eventually end up with a perfect commercial free radio station
It is not possible to download full tracks but they link everything to amazon.com in case a listener would like to purchase. So in other words, its all about exposure without the possibility of people ‘ripping’ your music. It’s all streaming 
I don’t know what their terms are for artists and labels submitting music but I do know that music can ONLY be submitted directly from a label or artist.
