Blogging Manic Thoughts That No One Will Probably Understand.
Remind me to write a book about all the crap that I’m not supposed to blog about. This would be a 3000 page book, by the way.
I sit here wanting so much to go into full "gripe mode" but I bite my typing-lip. See, you can’t bitch about things like record companies offering you preposterous contracts because then any future company will think "oh, we don’t want to deal with him because he’s trouble"…"how dare he not want to sign our shitty contract that completely fucks him over!"…Basically, you have to act like everything is completely perfect all the time in order to be a non-troublemaker just to get the chance to be screwed by someone else down the road. In this line of work, you get screwed no matter what but the trick is to find the people who screw you the least. [The above is just an example of things you can't write about.]
Karma does not happen in Hollywood as much as I would love that to be the case… if it does, I hardly see it …but when It does, It’s OH SO PRETTY. People say the bad stuff comes back around to haunt you and all the people you’ve stepped on while on the ladder up are the same people who get their sweet revenge when there’s a crash a burn. It sure would be nice if this happened more… but sadly, it doesn’t. If you are an asshole, you will probably be a huge success in no matter what line of work you go into. That "Nice guys finish last" line is pretty dead-on.
If you run into a real "good guy(or gal)" [more so in this town]…then they’ve probably worked VERY HARD and been VERY LUCKY …but chances are they’re just a good actor making everyone think they’re harmless. Me? I guess I’m somewhere in the middle. I’m no angel but I fall more on the lucky side of the coin. For as much crap that comes my way…I do my best to look on the bright side of life and I try to focus on the good [there has been quite a bit of good, I'm grateful for that]. As for me today…I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
So what am I not supposed to blog about today? I can’t say…it has nothing to do with anything I’ve blogged about in this post so far though…but let me just say, I probably should not have even blogged this entry as well.

It is good to vent! Hopefully you feel better?
It’s these darn holidaze!!!
Hugs,
Steph
yeah..the holiday stuff can get to me…but this town and the people in it are an all year round thing…there isn’t a day that goes by where i don’t 2nd gues why i’m still here fighting the fight
Can open . . . worms everywhere . . .
Sounds like somebody pissed in your Cheerios today. It’s kinda nice to see that side of you again, though I know for the most part you try to reserve that in your blog so no one else can judge you.
There’s something to be said about being anonymous, but then again, I’m not trying to make it, either.
As much as ‘nice guys finish last’ is as much as ‘what comes around goes around.’ Guess it’s up to you to find the balance.
Hugs, and hopefully you will be sunshine and lollipops, and we will all forget about this post.
LOL i thought my Cheerios DID taste sort of strange! [giggles]
It does sort of suck to have to hold back a little…I get to hint at things and that’s about it. Maybe I really should write this book with all the details…from just the amount of people who i’d be writing about who would buy it just so they can hear about themselves, i’d sell quite a few.
Of course, I’d be sued too.
You know, they say information is power.
I think that you are doing just fine. So you hold back here. I bet you have a friend who you tell everything to who helps keep you from exploding. If you don’t . . . . get one!
Hugs!
i am good at venting…years of practice..but i think my friends are tired of it ..it happens toooooo much
ha!
Never. Good friends will never get tired of it! Unless it’s over a woman. Then it gets old. Kidding.
ha! just wait till today’s(Tuesday) blog…i’m working on it now…my Yesterday went even CRAZIER!
Believing in Justice is like believing in the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus and about as useful. If it comforts you to think that the ‘bad guys’ will get coal in their stockings this Xmas, more power to you. I figure that the best thing to do is to just enjoy your life as best you can and be good to the people you know that deserve it… oh, and vote ‘democrat’…
So the best revenge is living a good life…or writing a good blog LOL
Makin’ my list…checkin’ it twice…gonna blog who naughty and nice..NOT…I’d have to change my journal to “The Blog of Monte Cristo”
hi bob! ya know I’ll always listen, and I’ll always give a damn too. See, I’m from Indiana and as you know, we Midwesterners actually give a damn when we tell someone we’ll listen. We may not be able to totally understand, but we’re always willing to listen…. THAT SAID… my ear is always yours, and that’s truth you can bank on.
I’m on aim as alteredmissives if you feel the need for some of that good old fashioned down-to-earth Midwestern feet-on-the-ground friendship.
Thanks for the offer John…i’m all good..i just needed to vent…i’m just not sure if any of it made sense…perhaps it all works the same in no matter what biz you are in..i dunno
the offer stands; it’s an open offer… anytime I’m online or you can just SMS me. Though your Treo trumps my RAZR on txt messaging. lol
My my sounds as if you work at the same place I do….and you know who I work for
LOL

it’s all one big company eh?
I hope you get an Xmas Bonus at least
Yep one BIG happy family.:lol:
Xmas Bonus….. I wonder if I missed the day they were passing them out.
Hang in there Bob. Keep your thoughts focused on what you want and you will get it. The music biz is going through some big changes and new avenues are opening daily for artists to market their work. This has the old establishment in a twist. I found these sites recently, that are very impressive.
http://www.iacmusic.com/
http://cdbaby.com/home
All the best to you mate!
Thanks! I’ll have ot check out iacmusic.com and see what that’s all about…i’m already on cdbaby though
CDBaby is a GREAT site for the indie guys!
I was just venting about something that i wasn’t able tt vent about..so i took my frustrations out on something else LOL silly, i know
Thanks for stopping in!
I WOULD BUY YOUR BOOK! WRITE IT!!
i Want the DIRT!
maybe i could do it and have it fiction that’s based on truth…”a million little blogs”…then i’ll go on Oprah!
if you go on Oprah, can we all get free cars?
yes! i’m sure everyone in her audience the day after that was thinking “why couldn’t we have just come a day sooner?!?!?!”
When I was 7 years old there was this kids television show called the “Old Rebel Show” and boy was this guy famous amoung our age group! Anyway he had kids in his audiance and they always got some really neat cool gift. I remember on the day when they all got Burger King Burgers, (I think they were around then) or some well know fast food joint, super burgers! Boy was I excited because our friend and neighbor Mark Hatley was having his 7nth birthday party ON THAT SHOW and not only that we all got to go with him and be in the audiance on black and white TV! Zounds! I could taste that burger! Well that day came and we were all taken to the set and positioned properly, told to smile, not to talk at certain times, etc (all this time I’m looking around for the burger and of course watching to see myself on the monitor.Quite exciting for a 7 year old little girl. The year was 1964 I think. Well the show came and went, my illusions about what went on in that place were shattered, AND when gift time rolled around we were all handed…..A LOAF OF BUNNY BREAD! Rember that old jingle, “Thats what I said…..mmm Bunny Bread” If any one would of looked they would have seen a black cloud hanging over the car that took us all home, that big juicy burger still lurking in the back of my brain. Sigh. Life ain’t fair, it just happens.
Merry Christmas
i would send you some BUNNY BREAD but i’ve never heard of it …no black clouds
then I could make my own big juicy burger! Bunny Bread was a brand that was primarily in the South.
The South had some good stuff..we had some fun things in Michigan..like “Faygo”…it was soda pop
About a year ago, the convict across the street was torturing a bird in his front yard with some loser friend of his. I just couldnt let it happen. So I walked across, carrying my two year old son, and picked up the bird, saying “Sorry guys, I can’t let you do that”. And they went off on me. Scared of Mr Drug-dealer of the Street and what he threatened, I did call the police. The police told me “no good deed goes unpunished” It’s a great lesson for my young son. Oh and later our front window was shot out.
As for karma…well he’s been in jail twice since then…but not for killing birds
Happy Festivist!
(haven’t heard from Mark M. yet)
i haven’t heard back from Mark yet either but i did email him you contact info..i’m guessing he’s new to the online world and doesn’t check his email every 30 seconds(like i do)
sorry about the window shot out. Glad everyone there is safe!
Speaking of Karma, i know some people who were assholes to me and all sorts of bad stuff happened to them. I never wished them bad though.
Might be you should not think that not enoguh assholes are being struck by bad Karma left and right and you never know…
yeah…it’s sort of sweet revenge when that happens.
I keep thinking that the “bad guys” will get what’s coming to them..but all i see are these people getting a leg up..it’s so annoying :-[
Which side is the wrong side?
I need to figure that out.
K
wrong side of the bed? hmm…it changes with each day i think…my room spins
