Demand Me!
Hello Everyone!
While many of you are getting ready for the holiday season, we’re trying to focus on recording a new CD and possible TOUR Dates and Locations. As an Indie Artist, I’m sure you all can imagine that we have to work a little harder to make things like this happen.
So here’s where I need your help! By letting me know what cities there is a "Demand" for a concert, I’ll know where to play. Let’s say there are 50 to 100 people in Detroit who join a demand….then I can easily book a show there and you can be responsible for making a concert happen in your hometown. Fun huh?
This is actually pretty simple… Just click on the Demand me! button and Join a Demand that’s already there or Create One in your city.
If you join one…it’ll just ask for your email address and alert you when a concert is booked [*be sure to uncheck the few little boxes so you're not emailed about other events unless you want that].
If you don’t see your city there, you can Start Your Own Demand. It requires you to register a username but it’s painless. It’s actually a pretty neat website….feel free to Demand other things there as well
After making it to the Finals on NBC’s "StarTomorrow"… I had quite a few people email me asking about when I’ll be in their town. Now, you can make it happen.
Oh…feel free to create a demand even if you live on some obscure Tropical Island….a concert in your backyard…you name it…if there’s enough of a demand, we’ll make it happen.

yeah…I thought it was a neat Idea…it’ll really help to know if i’d be able to fill a small club in certain cities

Wow… I kinda like this one, how about here in the Philippines… Probably in capital city of the Philippines, Manila but Manila is miles away from our City, Cagayan de Oro which is located in Northern Mindanao.

Speaking of Lumpia, I just had a lumpia for my breakfast this morning…
i had some the other day…3 different kinds…1 was a huge lumpia filled with veggie stuff…the other were little tiny meat ones…and then i had some that looked like egg rolls ..ALL were great!!
If you ever make it to San Quentin, I’m sure the inmates here wood lov your music. I’m serving life for murder (but I’m innocent - the bitch deserved it) We all need some uplifting music once in awhile. I’m gunna demand you.

well…if you can get 50 to 100 people(who would show up at the show) to click on Milwaukee i’ll be there in a heartbeat!!!

I think I had a dream about this once…getting to DEMAND Bob Gentry…*sigh*…um, anyway, I live in a smallish city, BUT, we have a couple of cool clubs that you could do a show in AND we are a University town. Oh, AND, there is a reality show being filmed here as we speak (if you read my blog *ahem* you would know that. Hmm…I might go ahead and demand you for my town instead of Indy. Yeah..I think I will!

I’m trying to figure out this “demand” site a little more…i figure 1 demand is probably equal to about 4 or 5 showing up (since no one really goes to concerts alone)
I love college towns too..i used to love playing in Ann Arbor and E. Lansing…it was a built-in crowd…ah to be a college kid again (sigh)

Brian Dear here . . . founder of Eventful. Glad to see you’re trying out Eventful Demand! Your guess of 1 demander = 4 or 5 people showing up is not too far off the mark . . . it prolly depends on the town, venue, type of event, etc.
I noticed you posted above that if 50 to 100 people to demand you in, say, Milwaukee, you’d “be there in a heartbeat”. What I highly recommend is that you sign in to Eventful as the performer, and go to to the Milwaukee demand detail page, and post a comment as the perforrmer (it’ll register in a special highlighted color so the everyone will know The Performer Has Spoken) and let fans know that you’ll definitely do an event if they reach a certain “critical mass”.
We get this question a lot, particularly from fans — how many people need to join a demand before a performer will say yes? Well, if you go in and tell the fans directly, it’ll really energize the fan base and people will know how much work they still need to do to get folks signed up….
