Running for Office (Round 2)
Well now… this is my last blog of plugging the whole "Vote For Me on NBC" -unless I make it through this Semi-Final Round and on to the next. If you have not voted yet, there’s still a little time to get the vote in [Monday is the Deadline].
I’m sure everyone is probably tired of all the emails, phone calls, blogs and other things like being held at gun point in order to snag a vote… but let me say thanks for putting up with all that. Also, thanks to everyone who voted… and even more thanks to those who helped to spread the word. It’s SO great to touch base with friends that I haven’t talked to in a long time and have them still be extremely willing to help… it leaves me speechless!
This is my 1st contest like this so I’m really winging it….I’m seriously clueless on if I’ll make it through this round. I sure want to win (as we all do) but if not, life goes on and I move on to the next chapter in my life. I’ve certainly had the rug pulled out from under me before so I’m getting better at landing with only a few minor scrapes.
Sure,… I’ll be a little sad if we lose this round, but there’s been so many other good things happening over the last few months that I should be able to focus my attention on those. Also, the exposure brought from being on this show has been fantastic… so we’re all winners in the end (as lame as that might sound).
Anyway…I’ll keep this short..Thank GOD I have a hockey game to play tonight…I really need to do something that doesn’t involve my computer.

It’s only a “contest” if you have serious competition, and so far… well… you haven’t had much. Not that your opponents have been BAD, they’ve been OK, but just not in your Extraordinary League. I’m eager to see you move on to Round 3, to Infinity, and Beyond… to go head to head with The Rest of the Best of StarTomorrow.
BTW, I STILL think you’ll win.. :wink::grin::cool:
I sure wish I shared your confidence….for me, it’s so hard to judge myself. I mean, I know If I totally ruin something but well… it’s just hard to judge yourself…..right now, I’m just hoping for the best

Honestly . . . people are so willing to help when there is real talent behind it. It’s amazing who crawls out of the woodwork to say, “Hey! I know him!”
So you are not only popular, but now are becoming famous.

yeah..i’m not sure i understand the Wild Card round…and bringing back 1st Round folks….should be interesting.
I’m STILL ILL at these nasty comments being left about my opponent… It’s one thing for someone to defend a silly statement being made but to go ALL OUT on ATTACK mode is just uncalled-for
OK Tonia, How about, TEAM BOB, on the front in big letters and Bobs pic on the back of the shirt? Or at the top of the front it could say, Ask Me About….
TEAM BOB! and then the pic on the back! Winters coming so I think it should go on the sweat shirt with the hood. Whatcha think?

A hoodie would be too cool. But I think it should say Team Bob Gentry so people don’t get confused that we are meaning that Bob from the Bachelor.

Unfortunately, this is a popularity contest, not a talent contest. It doesn’t matter if an act is better than the other, it matters who gets the most votes. I think we’ve done a pretty good job of spreading the word, and twisting people’s arms to get them to vote. I just hope that we have more people willing to vote for Bob because he’s cute than Shaley has voting for her because they think she’s cute. It’s sad that the entertainment industry works that way, but it does.
Hey Bob, let us know s soon as you get the results, ok? And let us know when we can see the show. I want to promote it/you as much as I can on the podcast. I’ve got your name in the brains of a lot of podcasters now, and that might make a huge diference for you in later rounds.
And…there’s nothing like smashing an opponent’s face into the glass to relieve stress…

the site says they have about 40,000 registered user…now how many of those are fake account from bands trying to double up their votes?? i dunno.
So in theory…even if a person has 2000 fans voting for them..they could still lose…i guess we shall see tonight…i igure if it’s going ot happen then great…if it’s not..life goes on
yeah..i’ll be sure to post the results as the second i know anything…meanwhile, i’ll be biting my nails to the bone.

Well, I still want a hoodie sweat shirt with “TEAM BOB GENTRY” on the front, and your pic on the back. I wouldn’t buy it myself but I would make my husband get it for my birthday! I’d say, sob, I’m turning 50 next year and if you really loved me…..
