Award in Hand

So last night I went to the Pre-Award Show for the LA Music Awards at a club in Malibu. I didn’t even know I was nominated until a few days ago so this was a last minute change of plans…but a good change of plans 
They announced the people nominated and each person went up to the stage and grabbed their little framed certificate. It was fun! Even cooler was that Bruce Jenner handed me my award…how cool is that!

It was a very good night! I don’t know what sort of chance I have of actually winning the Award on November 9th, but I was extremely happy to get this. I can’t think of a better category I’d rather be in!
EXCELLENT! and COOOOL! and the First of Many More Awards & Recognitions, I trust… Better start looking for a pad with walls suitable for gold records
And Bruce Jenner looks soooo… mmmm… lifelike…
Bruce was very nice…I was talking to him about his Ice Skating show…well..not really talking…but i mentioned that I watched it
I’m sure you’ve thought of this but I’d like to break down “Male Rock Singer/Songwriter of the Year” anyway:
“Male” - This is a huge plus. I wouldn’t have nominated you for the female category, and lets face it, you really would have had a lot lower chance of actually winning in this category. So, “male” is best.
“Rock” - great category for you. In fact, “rock” category is the most kick ass. Only “hardcore explicit lyric rap” category would have suited you better, but “rock” is just fine. Better than “pop” for sure.
“Singer/Songwriter” - not album, band, front person, etc, but singer/songwriter. There’s really not anyting better than that as far as future potential and as far as real recognition for your true talent; though another nomination for “male rock hottie” would have been nice. Perhaps you should make some calls.
“of the year” - ok, so this could be some sort of lifetime achievement, but considering where you are at this point, I guess “for the year” is alright
ya know, i would have been just as happy if it was Male Rock Singer Songwriter of the Month
but yeah..the Singer/Songwriter nomination is SO SWEEEEET!!!

And yes, it’s nice to be nominated but if you don’t win, people will probably say, “Oh you fucking LOSER!” Wah Wah

Well of course! What good is family if they don’t vote for ya. Of course you know what that means once those little 9th cousins start selling magazine subscriptions and choclate candy bars to support their school activities :mrgreen::lol::lol:hahaha:mrgreen::mrgreen: oops I just looked it up, seems your only really obligated to buy magazine subscriptions and candy bars if your a 5th cousin or less. However online voting falls into another catagory altogether. Seems you are familially obligated up to 12th cousins. Its a rule, really! I loooked it up! heehehehehee:roll:
