It’s Getting Better All the Time!

So last night I got this email:
"Congratulations! You have won a nomination for ROCK SINGER SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR FOR UPSIDE DOWN!"
…from the fine folks at The 16 Annual Los Angeles Music Awards.
It looks like the Award Show is November 9th, 2006 at the Music Box Theater.
WOW! I’m a happy person today! [And still a little shocked]
My Detroit band Moisture was once nominated at the Motor City Music Awards and that was GREAT too…but this nomination seems even more bad-ass!
I try to keep my blog PG13 but let me just say … I’m so FUCKING EXCITED and THANKFUL!
With making it through Round 1 of this NBC show and now this…these, last few months have been FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!
I’m not sure what else to say..other than WOW!
And I say… it’s FUCKING LONG-OVERDUE:!: (is that really french?) Congratulations, Bob! Do WE get to vote on that, too…
naw…i’m pretty sure the folks to who vote on that are the Music Members of the Award Show and other Musicians.
Without sounding like a cheesy Grammy Speech…it really is just an honor to be nominated

It so nice when musicians who actaully have talent do well.
It’s even better when it’s good things happening to a good person.
This is such a huge thing! So many acts that have gone on to rock the world won or were nominated for this award just before they hit it bigtime. That aside, to be recognized for your singing/songwriting is just sooooo kick ass. And well deserved I might add.
It’s been far too long coming, and this is just the start of things. Have I ever mentioned to you that my psychic (psycho) meter told me you were going to win a Grammy in 2008?
Sometime soon you are going to have all the things you’ve wanted. You might just explode from being so happy. I can’t wait.
all this happiness is going ot makeit tough to write depressing songs you know?
Yeah..i see the past winners have went on to do some pretty big things..No Doubt and the list goes on.

YEAH! Long overdue and well worth waiting for. I feel some day very soon, I’m going to be seeing you on the TV and saying, I know him and people saying, yeah right. LOL Keep up the good work, seem like 2006/2007 might be a year to remember. Hugs:lol:

So far this year has been been a great one for music stuff…Last year was COMPLETE CRAP so to have anything nice come… this year is such a rebound!

This is great news! But there’s always a downside: which limo to take to the awards…a stretch MBZ, standard Cadillac or a Prius to show you care about the environment. Also - what to wear? A tux or rocker grunge? But your biggest problem is who to take. You will piss off a lot of folks.
And don’t forget, your acceptance speech always starts with, “On behalf of the blah, blah, blah…” And don’t forget to thank your mother.
And one last thing. Don’t forget to pee before the show. I learned that when I won my first Emmy. I almost pee’d my pants when they called my name.
LOL ….i doubt i’ll win but who knows ….stranger things have been known to happen.

I think he should just wear “Depends.” That way he can shit and piss at the same time when they call his name. Only problem is… is there a band called “Depends?” They might say, “And the winner is…Depends!” I can just see Bob running up onstage.

it hink i’m just going to enjoy what comes while it’s here…you know how these things go…once second NOTHING is happening and the next EVERYTHING.
It’s been a very nice couple of months
I know everytime I”ve won an award, and I”ve won over 10,000 (most of them presented by me in my own house), I squirt pee everywhere, often in my own face.
Basically remember to “point it downward” before you stand up and win plenty of awards.
but what if i’m super “excited” (if you know what i mean)…it’s hard to point down
