Questions and Answers
As you would imagine, after sending out tons of emails, and calls…it sparked tons of questions from people. Some I can help with and some I don’t know but I’ll post ‘em and do my best.
Question: When do you know if you made it to round 2?
Answer: I have no idea…I’m sure they’ll post it on their website soon though…or they could extend the voting deadline another week(like they did with Week 1). The second I know anything, I’ll be sure to post. Win or lose…it’s been fun. The deadline still says 9pm tonight [6pm PST] though.
Question: This isn’t really a question but one of the guys on my hockey team said to me last night that he voted for me but he was under the impression that "Approve This Band" in the band section of their website was a vote for me.
Answer: I told him that going to the Group Section and adding himself to the fan list is good but it’s not a vote. The only way a vote counts is by going to the vote section and clicking the little "Thumb’s Up" under the video that plays. Here’s a direct link to that page [you must be logged in to vote]. I hope no one else got too confused on that. :-/

Question: When is the show on TV?
Answer: Right now, it’s only online…they aired the audition special on NBC a few weeks ago and replayed it on Bravo. They might make it a weekly TV show once they get down to their top performers…no one knows for sure. I do know that this is a first of its kind for a major TV network to do an online show like this.
Question: Can I vote more than once?
Answer: I’m pretty sure they monitor computer IP addresses to prevent cheating[which is good]..I’m not really sure how they work that though. I know some of you have family members who all share the same computer. But If you have 500 family members all voting from the same computer, my guess is that they’ll just cross off ALL the votes done from that computer. Their website has all the rules you can check out
There’s been more questions asked and I know I’m forgetting some but I’ll reply to any I know the answers to on this post.
Thanks so much again for your votes…If I make it to Round 2…GREAT! If not, it’s been some great exposure and I’m happy to be part of it. Just getting David Foster to say nice things about me and the band is worth the experience.
So… let me get this straight… each of my multiple personalities must vote from a different computer, with a different email address, for their votes to count…?

Well, they’re just discriminating against the Personality Rich… that’s not fair, and The Others agree… well, the voting went 7 to 2 in favor of ‘pissed off’…

I voted for you first on the vote page where you watch the videos and THEN became a fan through the group section. I hope people can figure that out!
I just got a little spooked when he told me that he voted by “approving the band”…I guess the website can be a little confusing to someone who’s not used to it. I just hope not too many folks thought they were voting by doing that…both would be nice though
I know their website is a little difficult to navigate but on the very first page there’s a category at the top that says, “VOTE” Hello? Why is this so confusing for some people? Duh. This is not rocket science. Place your hand on the mouse, click “Register” type in your name…”BARNEY FIFE,” fill out all the other information, then click “Submit” then go back to the top and click “VOTE” and select “Week two” then click Bob Gentry then click the thumb box below and “Hocus Pocus!” you have fulfilled your Bob Gentry civic duty.
Oh - one more thing, do not use the name “Barney Fife.”
The site was a little confusing to me when I 1st looked at it…but they were still working out the bugs(i think)…that commercial used to play CONSTANTLY and now it just plays a few times.
I can see where someone might think Approving the band is a vote for them…I just hope there’s not too many folks who did that.

The gal in the photos is just a good friend…she’s also a singer and she’s sang with my old band on some stuff..when her Cd’s on iTunes..i’ll be sure to give it a plug.
