“1 week eh? I wish I could go one hour… you must tell me how you do it sometime.”
I was ZAPPED..it helped me for the 1st three days…the rest of the time is pure hell.
Good luck if you ever try to quit…it sucks!
I saw the zapped website. They shoot you with a lazer? I hope it’s on “stun!” (ok, sorry for the trekkie reference). My doctor would sure be happy if I quit. My dad quit when I was in the 7th grade (ok, sure, that was 100 years ago…but…), and never smoked again. He went to a hypnotist. I tried that but either the hypnotist wasn’t good, or I wasn’t a pushover.
They say that the first 3 days is the hardest. If you think it is bad right now just imagine if you didn’t get zapped. I give you alot of credit for quitting again and doing this well at it. My stress level is so bad that it is hard enough to go the 8 to 10 hours while i’m at work.
Just keep telling yourself it is all psychological right now. (Just imagine Ms. Groffsorean standing over you. lol)
Youre right about AGT. Television has reached a new low! Who the hell wants to sit through 2 hours of people making asses of themselves? No wonder NBC ratings are about as low as Bush’s.
As for quitting ciggies “really sucks”….what really sucks is watching a friend or relative slowly die of lung or throat cancer. You’re young enough that you have not witnessed that, but I promise, someday you will. I’m sure you have a lot of friends who will never quit the habit. I just hope that instead of being the victim you will be the caregiver.
I can’t picture you singing “Upside Down” through a hole in your throat. On second thought….it might be good material for AGT!!
1 week without smoking is great. I want to quit so bad. It’s really hard to quit when you live with people lol. Without a smoke you snap. You would think at $9 a pack up here I could quit over the price alone haha.
I know in my case a lot of it has to do with oral fixation. The thing about the eating sounds like an oral fixation. You are doing the hand to mouth thing with food instead of nicotine. Try some sugar free suckers (they actually taste good lol). You will still have the hand to mouth thing going but you won’t be packing on the weight. Hmmm maybe I should try my own advice lol.
I am following your giving up smoking but since we don’t know each other it seems rude to comment. Apart from good luck and where you lead I shall follow. I really pity the US having Piers Morgan inflicted on them. We have one Anglo-Saxon word for him but I wouldn’t sully your blog with such rudeness.
so far…still not smoking…but I still want one …they say it goes away…i know it does little by little but I also know that after 2 years having quit, i still jumped right back into it
Taking the lead from former Nixon White House Counsel John Dean, America’s got a cancer on the Presidency, and it’s name is Dubya.
Too political? Eh, it’s how I feel. So HA! I win. lol
