HOT!
I’m REALLY beat today but I’ve been just sitting around and relaxing and it sure feels good. I’ve got a hockey game tonight at 8pm…I should be recharged for it by time the evening comes around. It’s been super hot here so going to an Ice Rink really sounds refreshing.
At the moment, my air conditioning is cranking on "Full Blast" mode. My little studio isn’t very big and the AC can turn my place into an ice box in a matter of seconds, so I guess there are some benefits to living in a shoe box apartment.
I went to a wedding yesterday and shot the videography stuff. It was pretty draining actually…but fun work and I’m happy with what I shot. It might not have been SO bad if it wasn’t blistering out. By the time I came home about 11pm, I had layers of sweat caked on my body from the day’s heat. I think I lost 5 lbs after taking a shower.
I talked with my sister for a little bit today on the phone. I’m all about making good use of my free Sprint cell phone Weekend Minutes.
A nice surprising email from the fine folks at garageband.com came this morning. One of my tracks I posted has now made it to Round 3. It’s now at #32 (I mean #18)in the pop/rock genre. What funny is I had posted the exact same song in a different genre not too long ago and it barley made it to Round 2. I guess the placement made all the difference. Who knows if it’ll make Round 4 but so far, it’s been some good exposure. GB.com is a tough crowd to please too. It’s mainly other musicians reviewing and most of those folks are tough critics. So far, the reviews have been favorable though.
Let’s see if it keeps up. I think my highest ranking song [The Easy Way] made it up to #28…I’m hoping "Upside Down" can beat that. We shall see.
Well…back to vegging out. Happy Sunday!

Congrats! Your showing up on the radar! I would think getting your stuff infront of other artists would help with publicity overall huh?
yeah….it certainly won’t hurt. GB’ers can be hard to please at times though
Enjoy your vegging out. Swap you some weather though, its cool and cloudy here in Germany. Summer hasn’t arrived here yet!
what i really miss are huge and lud thunder storms…i don’t think we’ve ever had one here since i’ve lived here

i’ll take the sunshine tho
This might be you’re lucky weekend for rain. The last 2 times I’ve been there it’s been rainy..
I guess that means there a dark cloud over me…
