X-3 Day!

I’m going to see X-Men 3 today! I’m excited! I’ll probably catch the 1pm showing…I wonder if they’ll be tons of people and long lines. I’m thinking it won’t be so bad if I go in the day while people are at work. Wait..what am I talking about? No one works here in Hollywood.
Ah well…It’s playing every half hour at the theater so I guess it shouldn’t be too bad. X-3 and Superman Returns are really the only movies I’m looking forward to seeing this Summer. The rest? DVD.
Will be sure to give my thoughts on it after but I won’t give anything away to those who haven’t seen it (for those even interested).
Last night I watched the season opening of "So You Think You Can Dance: Season 2" …I enjoyed last season of it but so far this season looks pretty god-awful. Let’s hope the show gets better.
There’s a bunch of new TV shows coming out based on the American Idol format. I know NBC has one coming out that’s looking for bands. I looked at that online and the requirements are that it must be 3 or more…I have 3 personalities but I don’t think that counts. There’s also the "America’s Got Talent" show but that one seems more like Letterman’s "Stupid Human Tricks"…I’ll still check it out though
As for "Rockstar: Season Two"…I’m told that they already picked the folks who are going to be on the show and since my phone never rang, I guess it’s safe to say that I won’t be on it
Perhaps I’ll try again next season. I’m not too bummed out considering the group is Tommy Lee and Band. It seems pretty obvious that I don’t really fit into that equation. I’m not sure I’d be happy with singing "Home Sweet Home" and a bunch of Guns and Roses tunes (not that I don’t like those). I’ll still be watching the show though and be real curious as to who they did pick. I think they called me up before they knew it was going to be Tommy Lee and Company…just a guess.
This whole reality TV thing has really gotten out of hand but I’m guilty of watching the shows and even enjoying them. For the longest time, I fought off watching American Idol thinking that it was basically like "Star Search" but I got sucked into it last season because I had met one of the guys on the show and was curious to see how he would do. Since then, I’ve been hooked.
Anyway…back to X-3! In about 2 hours, I’ll either be standing in line waiting for it to start or eating my $300.00 bag of popcorn. :)

A $300 bag of popcorn and a $100 box of raisinettes… don’t forget the $500 giant mountain dew! Have fun at the movie, buddy!
having someone talking on their cell phone in front of you and chattering away…or someone behind you kicking your seat is priceless though

as you can see i’m not a fan of going to the theater …but for x# i can sit through it
I’m not a fan of going to the Movies either. But my partner and I are heading out to watch X-Men 3 tonight, simply because he worked on the shooting of it as a lighting technician for 2 weeks, so we’re going to see if he got a screen credit for it. If he did, it’ll be his first official screen credit as a lighting technician in the film industry which is pretty exciting.
I found my way here via BlogExplosion.
I just got back from seeing it.
it was GREAT! i miss Night Crawler though…i wish they would have had him in the 3rd one too….but i really enjoyed the movie
I thought I saw him in the underground meeting where Magneto first starts recruiting. Maybe it was a random muntant, but there was a guy/figure that crawled up on the wall in it occurred to me that it was nightcrawler.
Maybe it was a post production thing added for random trivia fodder. OR possibly my delusion…
K
naw…he’s not in it…he was a featured character in the 2nd one but nowhere to be found in the 3rd. I guess they figuredthey had enough people to deal with …or maybe he wanted too much money to be in the 3rd?
With 7 children, a mom to take care of, a husband, a farm, homeschooling the kids, going to college part time, well I don’t often have time to stand in line for a movie. And even if I did I guess we’d all use that time to eat the snacks we brought from home while standing there cause I’m not going to mortguage my home for popcorn, milkduds, and my feet stuck to the floor in cokacola syrup.
We WAIT not only till it comes out on DVD but till they have it at the library. And we read the books while waiting. Or watch the cartoons at home. I love our family friday movie night in our den all curled up around each other, eating the popcorn we made and spilling our own homemade lemonaid. Those are good times!
that sounds like just as much fun
i miss going to Drive-Ins. Too bad they don’t have too many of those around still
AMEN! I’m with you! Movie theaters are so over-rated. You can easily spend $50 for 2…. tickets, parking, over-priced snacks, rude crowds, etc. I’ll admit sometimes I do feel like being around people and a little trip to the cinema cures me of that for about 6 months. I usually wait for movies to come out on DVD as well. With a 65″ big screen TV, high definition cable, 5.1 surround sound in my home and a very comfy couch, I see no reason to subject myself to people sneezing and coughing in my face and most of all cellphones! What is happening to this world? I suppose rudeness is in - manners are out.
Well crap, crap, crap about the Rockstar thing. (Yeah that’s about the best my overworked, writer, back to work, mommy-brain can accomplish right now)! My friend, they don’t know what they’re missing out on.
As for X-3…I’m SOOOOO excited!!! I didn’t read any of your comments in case of spoilers but I hope beyond hope it’s good. I’ve been dying for this to finally hit the theater. Hopefully this weekend will hold a date night. *jumping in giddy anticipation*
i made sure there were no spoilers…
i’ll just say it’s the DARKEST of the 3…i really dug it
