America’s Funniest Home Videos Top 20
So Friday night I watched the Top 20 of America’s Funniest Home Videos of All Time with Val(you know, the guy who posts on here sometimes with the evil sense of humor). Val had sent in a clip with a friend about 10 years ago and they contacted him saying that they were going to show his clip again and to make sure they had permission to air it…etc. So as we were watching the show as it was airing some of their best clips throughout the years since the show has been on …and we just thought his clip would be slipped in there…like in-between the Top 20 Countdown or something.
As the 2 hour show was going on and it was nearing the end of the show, I started to think they were pulling his leg because it was getting down to the end and they still didn’t show the video. So as it would turn out…his video aired at Number Four of all time! [Numbers 3 and 2 each got 10 grand and Number 1 got $250,000]. So he missed the 10 Grand by 1 placement!

Pretty sweet that they ranked you #4 of all time…too bad you didn’t get bumped up 1..that 10 Grand would have been nice eh?

yeah…we were trippy out that it made the countdown… I thought they were just going to slip it in but when they started introducing it as #4 we both tripped out a little

The weird thing is that I know Val, and I’ve seen that video on TV before, but I never put two and two together that it was Val in the video…that was fucking hilarious…just my kind of humor!

Yeah, i’d seen the clip before too…it was pretty trippy watching the show. They ended up giving places 1,2,3 to kids and 1 dog…i guess kids and dogs beat out shocking your friends
I’m not embarrassed at all. In fact, over the years, friends have sent me this clip saying, “You gotta see this. It’s really funny…” not even knowing that it’s me on the left.
I was paid $1000 for it and they really got their money’s worth. It’s on the DVD “The Best of American’s Funniest Home Videos” and I even saw it playing in a store window while vacationing in Hungary.
A lot of people have asked me if it was setup or spontaneous. I’ve been sworn to secrecy and only the other guy with the banana (Doug) knows. But I will give you a hint. Doug was really constipated that evening.
I hope you enjoyed it. My feeling is that it’s better than the video that won $250,000…a bunch of babies crying!?!?! Gimme a fucking break!! RIGGED!! RIGGED!!!

but considering you don’t fall into the baby-dog genre, you’re video is actually ranked #1

I still have a record player and an old camcorder that sits on your shoulder and records on to a VHS tape. Sooo ancient. I must say I’m dissalusioned. Here I was reading Vals previous posts and well, I just assumed Val was short for Vallery, and I thought I was reading all this cool stuff written by a woman! Shattered Illusions!
