Jotting Down a Quickie
I got caught up American Idol last night….what a shocker to see Chris in the bottom three. I thought he was one of the better ones. But when it came down to just Ace and Chris, it was sort of a "No Brainer". Shockingly, Kellie was not in the bottom three after butchering the song she sang. Interesting. Maybe putting him in the bottom three was a plan to make sure his fans vote for him? Who knows how these things work. Or maybe the order of which they perform has something to do with it. I dunno. It’s apparent that Taylor seems to have the largest fan base though.
I watched SNL last week and saw the parody they did of Taylor and thought to myself "I think this is the 1st time SNL did a skit on an Idol Contestant (at least one that hasn’t claimed to sleep with Paula Abdul)" 
My money’s still on Chris or Taylor to win it though

Have you ever gone to http://www.votefortheworst.com? There’s a lot of inside info there about some of the AI contestants. Seems as though Miss Pickler ain’t the naive little southern belle she pretends to be.
I also caught that skit of Taylor on SNL and it would be a great ongoing feature to parody a lot of the contestants. I would love to see what they would do with Mandisa and her fat butt.

American Idol last night had me so mad!:evil:This show has turned into a popularity contest and a Miss America contest!Not a TALENT contest.Kellie Pickler is a disgrace to women and the south!Just keep watching in hopes of seeing her fall…maybe next week! I think they should have two winners….the popular vote that the people vote on and the “most talented” vote that a panel of judges(not just the 3)vote for.

I agree. I’m a Taylor fan(as well as Chris) but i don’t think he did the best the night before…at least not enough to get the most votes. I guess everything’s like that though…Bands on the radio are mostly the “Flavor of the Day” just because everyone thinks they are “cool”.
Kellie was winning votes on personality and that Acting Dumb routine…but it looks like it’s working for her after a huge mess up like she did. That routine’s only going to take her so far though …i think people will eventually figure her out. And if she’s NOT acting…oh dear!
I find it hard to believe that anyone ever thought AI was anything other than a popularity contest. This is American TV: the object is only to make people want to buy stuff. The producers are only on a quest for the most saleable, not the most talented. The most “popular” always has the most potential “stuff” purchasers.
there *is* some talent factor but i think it’s slim
