Meet Tony B.-eatles

Well…I have the 1st draft of the Music Video I’m doing for friend Tony B.
Here’s the rough cut of it "Gone" by Tony B.
I’m real happy with the dark moody "Meet the Beatles" look it has going and the silhouetted section rocks the house 
Tony seemed happy with it too so that made me feel good.
I’ll probably do another shoot down the road and cut in a story line of some sort but for now, here’s the basic edit of just him singing the song.
This is my 1st time doing anything like this so if there some crazy edit mistakes please forgive

Love to hear some feedback since this is a 1st draft.
A little feedback is all you need: dude, that is an AWESOME video! First of all, I REALLY like the lyrics and the vocals! The videography is also EXCELLENT! The editing is smooth and professional. Visually, the lighting is moody and powerful and totally focuses the viewers’ eyes on the singer without distracting from the great lyrics and music! Maybe a FEW other scenes cut into the video to add a little variety… but not too many, OK… it could become visually jarring if there were a lot of dramatically different vignettes editted into a clean, quiet video.
Basically, Bob, I’m saying that you and Tony both did EXCELLENT work! There’s very little room for improvement on your ‘first draft’ video.

I was having fun with the focusing in and out of stuff and the black moody stuff.
Fun trick focusing on Black and letting the camera auto-focus on Tony…those made for cool edits.
Tony will be glad to hear you liked it..i dig the tune!
I think the video has excellent “bones” to it. It was shot with the intention of dropping in some additional video later on to create a storyline. Just my opinion but I really hate flashy, quick cutting, hand held (puke visuals) music videos. It was a solid Bob first attempt. I think it’s always interesting to see a work in progress. Stay tuned for more.
yeah..i agree…i’ve seen so many videos with SUPER FX on them and when doing that you forget about the song…i think it takes away from the music…it’s tricky
When you post the finished product with the additional video you should also post the first one also. It’s interesting to see how videos develop…very much like the 1st draft and/or 2nd draft, the working copy then the final product. This takes people through the creative process (if anyone is at all interested in seeing it done). Who knows? Maybe this bores the shit outa people cause there’s been no comments. Oh well.
