The Final Photos from the Expo
Here’s more quickie shots from the Expo yesterday. I’m not sure how many of you have ever been to these sorts of conventions but it’s just a big open hall filled with booths. If any of you have ever been to Namm… this is sort of like a smaller version of that. [Namm goes on every year in Anaheim, CA. and has the latest musician gear(it's SWEET). This year's Namm show is Jan. 19 through 22].
I think the Expo will end up growing with each year…perhaps eventually it’ll get to be as huge as Namm. Actually…Podcasters would be wise to grab a booth at Namm for some cross-promotional stuff.

Here’s a little gadget I thought was pretty cool. A cube Mp3 Player by mobiBLUE. The gal in the booth said it holds a gig of memory….I think I’d be too worried I’d lose it…either that, or buy 5 of ‘em and play a game of Yahtzee
I snapped this picture of Rufus[below] posing in the booth that was showing off UNDERWATER CASES for PALM PILOTS (just in case, you need to check your Palm Pilot while SCUBA DIVING). I didn’t see one that looked like it fit the Treo 650 though

I’ll be the 1st to admit that I’m totally addicted to my cell phone/Palm Pilot…but I’m pretty sure I’d be able to handle not having to check my email underwater! I wonder who saw a need for this product.
There didn’t seem to be too many people lined up to check out this booth. I guess there weren’t that many scuba divers at the expo.
This sort of reminded me of a product you might see in Sky Mall (You know, those magazines you find in Airplanes). Looking through Sky Mall Magazine is my most favorite part of flying.

Here’s another shot… Wendy from GABBER JAW [whose podcast I'm listening to now]and Chris from The PMC Top 10. Notice our little tags around our necks? That basically says we are important people [kidding] ….actually those little tags came in handy to me. It helped with starting conversations even though I found myself starting quite a few conversations the same way.

Speaking of cool gadgets, Chris used this neat little digital stereo recorder about as big as a pen case to interview me. [Chris be sure to edit out anything stooopid I'm sure I said]
Well…that’s it for the photos from the Expo. All in all…I’m glad I went.
Normally, I have hockey games on Sundays but for some reason our game this week is Monday at 10pm. No big deal to me, but it does make today NOT feel like Sunday. "And on the 7th day, he Ice Skated"…isn’t that how the line goes?

i’m glad you’ve been making these posts about podcasts because it’s new to me. i didn’t start using iTunes until about a month ago and bought a video.*** i’ve heard people talking about it, but i keep such a hectic schedule i don’t have time to keep up. i wish i did! ***the video i bought just happens to be one of my top 10 favorites featuring my all-time favorite actor. fat boy slim’s “weapon of choice” with Mr. Christopher Walken, hereinafter referred to as “GOD.”
The only bad thing (and it’s really not a bad thing) is…there’s SO MUCH to keep up with.
I mean…with reading my daily dose of blogs(which is quite a few) and a handful of podcasts…maybe a few videocasts here and here (like Tom Green’s…he’s cracks me up)…it’s just hard ot keep up. But it is entertaining for sure.
tom green has always been a riot. i love his humor. i’ll check in to his cast.
yeah..Tom is KRAZY …check his blog out…he just posted his real cell phone number for people to call him. BRAVE MAN!
Wow! I want one of the mobiBLUE mp3 cubes… Of course I’d lose it too. I think my ipod mini is about as small as I’d want to go for a gadget I’d use so often.
They had a booth that showed the generation of iPods starting from the very 1st to the new video ones. Sort of neat to see.
Yeah the cube looked neat but I still like the iPod shape (much easier on the pocket)
I would like to see an iPod with the screen the size of the iPod itself. Now that would be worth trading in my old iPod. It could be a touch screen. Hello? Are you listening Steve Jobs??
yeah…I’d be up for a letterbox iPod screen. I bet that’ll be next. I don’t know much about PSP …i’m not sure I understand that format…but I should look into it.
My iPod shuffle, you know how big THAT is, about the same size and thickness as three sticks of gum, has a gig of memory, which contains everything published by a soon-to-be-famous rocker, Bob Gentry, and a couple of other better-known but lesser artists… it fits ALL kinda places and pockets… the only thing I can imagine doing with a cube is hanging it from my rear view mirror… do they make a pair of fuzzy ones?

check out the video of it…it’s pretty sweet
Bob I love the jacket… how much does it cost there .. i am dying to find one though I managed to find one on the net but they just cant deliver towards norway…
thanks Charles…glad you like it too…i love racing jackets.
This was pretty cheap….i picked it up in a shop on Melrose Ave….they tried to sell it to me for about 200 dollars and since I was shopping for jeans I said “naw”…eventually the guy dropped the price down to just 90 bucks….hard to pass up so I walked out with it….
i’m not a fan of shopping and hagglin’ for price but for that price I had a hard time not buying it.
the shop next to it had the same coat and they were asking 300….those shops are weird.
oh really, I guess i just asked my aunt in NY to buy me one. I dunno i also fell inlove with those kind of jackets since I saw it from Queer as Folk. Justine was wearing that kind of jacket. I love it…
yeah…i love racing rackets…i keep hoping one day i’ll be able to get the motor bike that matches
I keep being warned to NOT buy a cycles but it seems the more who warn me ..it makes me want it even more
Some racing jackets can be super high in price but i think it all depends on how thick the leather is.
mine’s a cheaper version
Just a quick thought on the underwater case for palm pilots…my husband is a Scuba diver & he can use his palm to log his dives:smile:
it would come in handy then
I have a hard enough time typing with these little keys as it is..i can just imagine having to do it underwater (grin)
hugs ma’ dear
