Moods
I’ve added a little mood icons to the blog now…silly little expressions… but they make me smile. I’ll try to do my best to match the face with the mood
Today’s been just fine…though nothing to write home about.
I take a Red Eye flight on Tuesday back to Michigan. I’ll be there a week. Things I hope to do while back home:
-
See my friends and enjoy Jeff’s Halloween party.
-
Pick up my sister and take a trip up north to my mother’s.
-
I’m supposed to see my father [should be interesting].
-
Perhaps pick up a greasy cinnamon doughnuts at an Apple Cider Mill.
I’m sure I’m forgetting some things[like avoid being set fire to on Devil's Night]… Well…I need to run out and grab some tea….I know…exciting huh?!
*Devil’s Night …usually the night before Halloween…people set fires, egg houses….soap windows…toilet paper trees…Etc… I have no idea why this started but I just know it’s a Michigan thing. I’m not sure if it still happens these days but I remember as a kid…people would sit up all night and protect their homes….crazy huh?

:twisted::evil::mrgreen::twisted::twisted::twisted:
:arrow::shock::cool::evil::wink::!:
Send me one of those donuts please. Have a great time from one former michigander to another
YuM! I just hope I can find one that up and running
I got caught soaping windows in my neighborhood when I was a kid and my mom made me wash everybody’s car. It was horrible. I never did it again after that.
when I tell people here about *Devil’s Night* they always seem so confused and have a ton of questions…i never have any answers though
Devil’s night souds like a lot of fun - if you don’t get caught!
It was onlt fun as long as your place wasn’t damaged
I recall one year, Detroit had something like 300 fires….i think they’ve really cracked down on this though
Well, I never set any fires…here in Okieland it was more about the toilet papering of houses, rotten eggs in a mailbox, and the occasional round of cow-tipping…
Have a great time in Michigan!
I have never done any cow tiping but this sounds like something i’d like to do at least once in my life
hehehh
crazy huh?
Dunno!
There is a devil in the history of Halloween and we should beware of the old Nick.Because, the devil has many followers who are bent on doing evils.:mrgreen:
H
I have my hair clippers …i’ll be able to quickly shave the sides of heads to see if there’s any 666 on anyone’s side. it’s safe on my blog
I thought every night was Devil’s night in Detroit? It’s listed as the #2 city in the U.S. as having the most crime and the most dangerous place to live. Maybe they should change the name to Devroit. Detrevil?
i’m from there so it must have spawned a little devil:twisted:
Little devil?
Ya know…..anything to use your emoticons!
hell yeah!:arrow:
Its called “Angels NIght” now, its a positive night here in Detroit wherein all of God’s little angels torch the frickin’ place. Its nice thsi way.
just as long as the Angels get to do it…that’s all that matters
Oh yea, and on “Angels’ Night”, you and I will be on the roof of my buidling downtown with slingshots and asperin, warding off any birds who may be trying to burn my place down.
LOL SWEET! I get to shoot people! YAY!
can’t wait!
ha! yeah..eating is one of my new favorite things too
Wish you were coming back too….would be good to see you at the arty
Mr. Chicken and Silvios are both still here…but Silvio cannot make or sell Pizza anymore (per the Health Department). A movie was made about him about 2 years ago actually, and we all had a huge release party at an art gallery in downtown detroit, he sang for the audience before the movie was shown…he is still exactly the same…
Here’s a link to the movie page;

ah…i remember eating his pizza. He used to give me extra slices( I think he did that for everyone though).
when they closed the school from going out for lunch..that probably put a dent in his wallet.
