Here’s a few Photos taken on the Ride to Vegas

I know these photos aren’t really showing much of a "trip"…but I just wanted to give an idea of what the drive to Vegas was like. These 1st 2 photos were taken about 3pm(give or take an hour). Nothing like a little rain to slow things down.
It took about 7 hours to get there and just 3 and half to get back. Of course with scenes like the picture below showing how people in CA have no idea how to drive in the rain, it didn’t speed things up any.

You’ll have to excuse the photo quality..these were just snapped with the cell phone. And finally after escaping Flash Floods …this was the view coming up on the strip.

It was still nice to get away regardless of the weather. Most of the time I’m in Vegas I don’t really see the outside of the casino… so as long as it was dry inside, things were fine.
I wish I would have had a little more time to spend with my mom but I’ll be seeing her next week when I fly back to Michigan. That should be a fun trip…I’m trying to remember when it was I went back for a visit and I think it was about a year and half ago- I could be wrong. It just seems like a long time.
Anyway…I’m back home now and getting caught up.

For some reason I always think of Vegas as lounging by the pool and HOT, HOT, HOT! Seems strange to see dark clouds and rain. But when you’re inside a casino feeding money into a slot machine, I guess it doesn’t make any difference what the weather is like outside….dark ominous clouds and an empty wallet seem to go together.
isn’t that the truth! I like it HOT HOT HOT ..i actually love the rain too…just not driving in it
There is nothing more beautiful than pulling up to see the neon of Las Vegas. Going up in a couple of weeks and I cannot wait.
Yeah…I’m told that it hardly rains in Vegas but when it does…it REALLY comes down buckets. Hope your weather on your trip is better than mine was

Win Big!
I can think of something more beautiful…pulling a slot machine handle and seeing those reels land centerline on “Jackpot,” “Jackpot,” “Jackpot!”
Hey! I just noticed you’ve finally incorporated comments. Sadlyt, you may have had comments for quite some time but I am just this slow to notice. So many blogs, so little time. Anyway, the point of all this blather is, blogging is so much more interesting when you get feedback. I imagine it’s like singing and applause. It’s lovely to sing for the pure pleasure but pure please to hear it accompanied by applause.

Yeah..I’ve had comments enabled for just a little while. So far, it’s been nice. The interaction adds a whole new level to the blog, I’m finding.
Thanks for the shout out!
I’ve never been to Vegas. I certainly hope you remembered to
I’ll bet you would’ve won.
wasteput $5 on 21 for me at the roulette table..I did bet on that number but the only one who won was the House

“I like the clouds, but I never liked the rain …”

bj
LOL …but I do!
Flash floods or not, all pics from the road RULE!
yeah..not bad for a cell phone shot…sort of looks like *the end of days* though
Which casino games do you usually play Bob ?
I’m a blackjack/roulette player myself-although people say I’m a wuss for only going odd/even, high/low, or red/black @ the wheel.
I like blackjack but sometimes have a hard time counting cards

I have to say I do enjoy the slots even though I never win on them..some day
i dated this girl whose Mom was into slots in a major way. She had magazines in here house like “Slot Secrets” and “Slot Machine Digest.”-not one time issues these were magaines you could subscribe to. Never knew slots could have a system, but these magazines (and her mom) claimed there was a way to beat them.
wow! they have a mag for EVERYTHING these days! that’s crazy!
Hey there, those 3 pm pictures look more like 6-7 pm or something, that´s really armageddonish
Glad you got back safe!
thanks Ralph

and it is good to be back
yeah…the day was pretty dark…even at 3pm
The quality of the pics is really good. Shame about the rain though, but I guess even Vegas needs a little watering from time to time.
yeah…i hear that was the most rain fall they’ve had..record setting
Are you there?…
Do you mind to post some more information about this ?…
