Like Riding a Kung-Fu Bike
The other night while playing a game of Tennis Chainsaw Massacre at the public park, there were a couple of people doing this Brazilian type of Martial Arts/Exercise. It was sort of fun to watch ‘em…they were doing it in super slow-motion and in a sort of rocking back and fourth motion.
There’s always something strange happening in this public park.
After our game, we stopped and watched these people do some interesting moves. I guess that’s how we got on the subject of this… but I started saying how when I was younger I used to dress up in a black Ninja outfit and sneak out and night. [grin] I then mentioned that I was sure to do a bunch of back flips to freak people out [Ah the fun things to do as a teenager in Detroit].
Ruf asked me if I could still flip…it’d been years since my last tumble but I just replied with a quick "of course" …I’m not sure of the exact wording next, but it was something along the lines of "let’s see!"…. And so… he recorded me back flipping on his cell phone and sent it to me. It’s a good thing he taped it, in the event that I landed on my head. I know landing on my head would have made for a more amusing blog but I’m sorry to disappoint

It’s weird to flip around after so long of not doing it. As a kid, I remember running through fields and flipping around just to see how high in the air I could get. [No, I wasn't always in the Ninja suit...that was just for fun]
It’s sort of nice to have my last back flip documented…I doubt I’ll be doing any more in the future…I’m not sure I have a reason to…After all, the Ninja suit no longer fits so it wouldn’t be as much fun.

i used to buy martial arts magazines, buy ninja gear (the total outfit head-to-toe and head out for a night of romping around doing nothing aside from perhaps scaring old ladies.
hehehe…yeah….me too…i used to love those mags…i remember almost buying the cool Chuck Norris jeans [that stretched in the crotch for super high kung-fu kicks] LOL
I forgot to mention….impressive backflip….of course if you’d landed on your head or rear assets that would have been very entertaining.
there were a few times i have landed on my head [i know there's a hundred jokes here] but [THANK GOD]there was never a video cam around

I don’t wanna comment on the Ninja silliness I wanna know more about the “Tennis Chainsaw Massacre.” Why are you calling it that? Did you beat someone to death with a tennis racket? I know how you can be when it comes to losing. I’ve seen your temper and know how you HATE to lose!

Massacred, and reversed over by a truck. We played 4 sets and one game of space tennis (rules are that its just got to go over the net!). Bob won every set usually without my getting a game and today I feel like I’ve fallen off a 3 story building.
I gave him a good run for his money though. I’ll be taking secret training lessons to anihilate you next match. I will crush you.

I’m not too fond on celebrating my own birthday either. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the gifts from my grandmother haha. I think it’s nice that you’re catering to the language differences of your visitors. And it’s not like you’re the one doing the translation, its the plugin, right?

thing is, i’venotice a huge spike in my visits from other non-English speaking countries and i’d love to keep those readers. I just wish our public schools required us to learn more than just English…i’d love to learn (at the very least) French, Spanish, and German.

i lved playing Soccer as a kid…i’m not as fast as i used to be these days though.
I was never really a “jock” in school but I liked to play sports after school….i was quiet and geeky IN school and never really fit in with the team-sport guys…
The flips used to be fun though
