A Slight Change
I spent some of today changing the look on my journal. I got a few emails from people saying that they liked the old look[back when I was using Blogger.com] much better than the new Wordpress journal. I have to admit, for me, it was much easier to make changes to the look with blogger….but wordpress certainly has more horsepower. I suppose the main concern should be … what’s written rather than how it looks.
Anyway, at the right…there’s now a Search (which should have been there all along)…and I’m trying to get away from the hard looking Black and White feel. Maybe this one’s too Earthy?…ah…oh well…
Our 
heat wave is still baking on here in Hollywood. I think it was over 90 degrees today. So much for Fall huh? I’ve been growing my beard so I’ll be ready for my trip back to Michigan at the end of this month. I just checked what the weather is in Michigan right now and it’s a BONE CHILLING 59°F. [I hope you guys know I'm just kidding about 59°F being cold] I have become a wimp when it comes to cold weather though….Living in CA tends to spoil me.
I do remember 40 below 0°F with windshield factor making it feel even colder. I even recall it being so cold that my nose would freeze…and parts of my face would actually crack. In a sick way, I actually miss it…just not enough to move back to it.
The one thing about not having a major change of season is…sometimes I forget what time of year it is. There is nothing more strange than looking at Palm Trees decorated with Christmas lights.
Back to the beard… I know it makes me look 20 years older…I’ll shave it soon…I’m just being lazy. 
Same goes for the short hair.

It is colder up here. Went from 80’s to 50’s in about 24 hours. But I am appreciative for the chill in the air. It means fall is on the way, and fall is certainly one of the most wonderful times of year for me. It is my “comfort season.”

Actually, i didn’t really start shaving until i turned 22 so this facial hair thing is someone new for me…i still have some patches where it just wont grow though …and i’m thinking about buying some Chea-pet mix for those parts.
Yeah..you guys get all 4 seasons…but all in 1 day! 80 to 50! Folks here get all crazy when it sprinkles a light mist LOL

I love the new design by the way! It´s really well done, very readable and easy on the eye.
It lacks a personal touch though (as the one before did) maybe you should think about getting a personal header image or so.
Yeah…I need a header…perhaps something that ties it all in with the main website. I’m always open for ideas
yeah… i was lucky that i didn’t have to shave in school–i so wanted the extra time to sleep in
I think Ralph is right. The header needs a banner/graphic or something. It does lack a personal touch. Here’s a thought….I’ve taken over 3000 shots of you. You could have a tiny window (kind of like Ralph has) in an upper corner and change your photo every few days. People LOVE visuals! If it’s too much trouble I’d be happy to volunteer. I got some GREAT ones! Hah!
sure…i just need to figure out this PHP stuff…it’s not like HTML.
All you need to do is modify the Stylesheet, that has nothing to do with php, it´s all CSS.
If you don´t manage to do that you could send me a copy of your theme and I can look into it.
ah..that CSS… it’s all coding ..i’m not used to it. I’ll email you the theme tomorrow and let me know if you can make it “perty”

I like the look of the new journal - epecially the subtle color. I thought the “all white” was too much. As for all that stuff on the right side…I never really paid much attention to that…just like I don’t pay much attention to your beard/hair anymore. One day you look like Smokey the Bear the next day Anthony Fedorov. (An American Idol contestant) Although it is kinda interesting to see how many different “looks” you can come up with. Just don’t pull a “Fabio” on us.

Someone said that the font on the new skin was harder to read …or that it was giant(or something like that) so I made sure people could switch back if they wanted…i like this new feel too

I personally like the newer theme, but that’s because it looks a little bit cleaner then the older one. Both are nice though. Although I haven’t seen you with out the beard, maybe if you trimmed down around the sides and just had the ’stach/goatee going on, it’d drop 15 years off the 20 you think it does for you.
And I’m with you on cold weather. I took my A.C. out last week and am regretting it. Right now its in the 70’s but when you’re in a brick building that gets sun light all day its just too warm to function. I’m waiting, very patiently, for the 30 degree days just so I can sit outside and be cold again. Damn summer! hah.

Um…”windshield factor”? Is that the temperature outside while you’re driving? I’m not a meteorologist, and I don’t play one on TV, but I believe you mean “windchill factor”. For what it’s worth, I like the color scheme.

Although we used to do this thing called “shagging” (not Austin Powers Shagging)….Shagging was grabbing on to the back of moving cars and letting the autos pull us around on a snowy street….once in a while, we’d end up on the windsheild
