Perhaps a Show?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bob Gentry @ 6:17 pm

Some nice news today…

A friend of mine Dani, who attends Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana told me there’s a strong chance that I might be performing there next semester. I’m excited about it…I hope to go a day early and help promote on their radio station and whatever else they’ll need me to do to help….it just sounds like fun. Nothing’s in stone yet…and it could very well not happen at all…but I’m hopeful :)

With any luck if this recording contract ever gets the T’s crossed and I’s dotted, I’ll be going there to promote a new CD…that would be nice. I certainly have a ton of new songs written that I’d like to record. Even if there’s not a new CD by then, I’ll still be happy to go. Thanks Dani!

I’ve been writing quite a bit more music lately…it seems to come in waves.

Oh…let me send out a thanks to the 8 Ball Radio podcast folks for giving me a spin on their #12 show. Thanks for the kind words!

Ok..short and sweet today…have a happy Saturday :)

Hockey Season starts tomorrow for me! yay!

That’s great news. It’s about time you started performing again. I’ll bet you can’t wait to chomp into some of that delicious cafeteria food. I traveled a lot when I was working for NBC and ate at a lot of different college campuses all over the world. I’ve always liked the variety so I think this oppurtunity is just as much about the music as it is about the food. I think I hear a song coming on! “Upside Down Pineapple Cake” YUMMY!

When i toured with Rod at those colleges, it was great fun!
I should ask what the seating’s like…or if it’s like standing room…i’m curious now.

Hope the gig in Indiania turns out. Is there a way to buy your CD in Europe. I know dowloads are the way to go, but I’d like to get the CD as a present for Mrs Haddock.

Good luck on getting the gig at St. Joseph’s College in beautiful Rensselaer!

Keep us advised on how everything works out.

I’m in Northwest Indiana about 45 minutes north of there, so it’s always cool to hear about things happening nearby (and seeing them being blogged about).

Indiana! w00t! I hope it does work out. I think St. Joesph’s is up in the Northern part of the state, and I’m in the middle along the Illinois border, but that’s one I could actually attend. 195 miles from here, to be exact (per mapquest) //john
