Give a Dog a Bone

So my new face shield arrived yesterday and I assembled it to my old helmet. What I had before was just a black cage over my face. The cage protected well, but something about looking through black bars over your eyes and searching the ice for a black puck is a slight disadvantage. I’ve yet to play a game with this new clear visor but I look forward trying it out. We’ll see how it works on Sunday.
This weekend, Ivan and I will be hanging out [no, he won't be making it to the hockey game--he doesn't like the cold]

However, he doesn’t seem to mind this 110 degree heat-wave we’ve been having…specially since Italian Greyhounds hardly have any hair. The body hair he does have is more like a constant 5 O’ Clock Shadow but soft.
He’s seems to be doing ok without Boris around but I’m sure he’s figured it out that he’s not coming back. Dogs seem to know more than they let us know.
I’m not sure what show it was, but either 20/20 , Primetime Live, or Dateline did a special on these dogs that can actually SMELL CANCER. It was a really amazing segment actually. I’m sure if it’s possible for dogs to be able to smell disease, Ivan probably had a pretty good idea that Boris was sick long before I did. Interesting stuff.
Well…Time for food.
